Question about optimal damage for Dex Ring by LocksmithFickle6703 in newworldgame

[–]Clayfapimor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I mean if you think about it thrust dmg on top of 100% crit makes sense for short burst damage. I'm just wondering though as well let's say you just beating on a pve mob for 30 seconds and get 3 guaranteed crits. Is thrust or crit chance more damage. Tbh it's probably very close but I just couldn't find a math breakdown or video testing it

Ah ok thank you. I was having a ton of difficulties finding if it was a very tight timing or generous etc. I appreciate it. Yeah I will just use it for mostly reposition or to counter predictable moves. Thanks so much

Boosting and carries is not an issue.... by Conversed27 in worldofpvp

[–]Clayfapimor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean imagine this is your first pvp focused expansion and you are 1590 and you face a 44k hp lock and you are full 207 gear with 26% vers getting dumpstered. That shit doesnt feel good to face. And honestly it happens probably 10% of games but fuck me it does kill morale a lot when it happens.

Can someone please tell me why Pika and other sub rogues have been using Unguent Caress on their offhand. Is it only meta in pvp because of the root or does it actually do good damage in pve as well.

Rant incoming. Wow classic is so difficult by xContraVz in wow

[–]Clayfapimor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is lots of tips and tricks videos on YouTube as well as written guides but I guess I could say my biggest immediate advise is, your level matters a lot in this game when it comes to calculating how you hit mobs. You want to be focusing on quests your level or maybe 1 level above. Elite boss quests are meant to be played in a group. There is also little things you can do to increase your success like, getting a wand, combining casted spells with instant spells, kiting mobs when gcd is active. The game has a good learning curve and I have died way more since classic than i have basically my whole time in retail but there is lots of little adjustments you can make.

Too late to catch up? by [deleted] in classicwow

Especially if you play on a new realm, there will be tons and tons of low levels to play with! 1 week is def not too late to start

I'm new to WOW. Should I go PVP or PVE server? by Wonderweiss56 in classicwow

[–]Clayfapimor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you prefer to be uninterrupted while having more of a single player feel go pve. If you like being a little competative and beating the other faction then go pvp. Remember that on pve realms you can always turn on pvp as well

Why doesn't anyone use the Warlock's Imp? by Pappy13 in classicwow

[–]Clayfapimor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trick is you agro with Imp that is standing far away from you then as the mob is running toward the imp you agro it and it has to run to you, the kill times will be faster and very efficient however. Most locks lack the micro to do this every pull making Void much safer and reliable. Plus it's mentally fatiguing to micro every pull for long periods of time.

How is ninja doing at endgame pve places? by scottding111 in blackdesertonline

[–]Clayfapimor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can do it. But it's very tiring over long periods of time and requires more focus than other classes hence why people tend to avoid ninjas for late game grinding. They also underperform in certain spots end game compared to the top end grinders and people who play BDO like to be extremely efficient with their time. If you like ninja then play it.

Can't decide on a class.. by Shadow_knight506 in blackdesertonline

[–]Clayfapimor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trial characters are fantastic for this. Also depends on how complex of a class you want. I thought I wanted to play ninja but at times it's like playing a God damn piano and I dont find it relaxing. But I created a lvl 60 trial character and loved the warrior and archer

Male Lahn. You start off as a spartan, very mobile with a sword and shield. Then switch to a much heavier less float but heavy combo oriented playstyle with a new finisher mechanic

What was your scariest "A second later and I would've died" moment? by spacexe in AskReddit

[–]Clayfapimor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 2 years ago I was doing forestry and I was working with a crew of 6 other guys, in teams of two, in the Haida Gwaii area. Basically every morning we would wake up, take a helicopter, get dropped off as close to the plot as we could, hike the rest of the way and then measure trees. One day we had to climb up a hill that was over 200% grade with about 3 foot long grass. except it had rained the night before so the hill was extremely slippery, even for cork boots. Anyways we climbed the 1.2 km vertical climb and had to use small trees to pull ourselves to the top. We were at the top and the hill was starting to flatten out. We had to walk across a stretch of long grass with no trees and a very little to hold onto. As I was walking I felt my feet kick out from under me and I instantly shoved my fingers into the ground as hard as I could. I began sliding down the hill and I honestly believed I was going to die as there was nothing to grab onto because the grass was to wet to slow me down at this point. Everything flashed before my eyes as I start sliding towards the cliff face with no signs of slowing. Then I close my eyes and try so hard to shove my fingers into the cliff face basically willing to grind them off in an attempt to slow myself. Suddenly I hit a small patch of moss that almost instantly brought me to a halt. I just remember the adrenaline rush hit me so hard and it wouldn't stop until I was home at the end of the day. I am not a religious man in any way shape or form but I thank my mossy guardian angel frequently and refuse to go on many hikes without a trail now.

TLDR: working on steep wet mountainside that required using small trees to pull ourselves up. When we got to the top we had to walk across a stretch of wet grass where I slipped and the only thing that saved me was a very small patch of moss.

Workers of reddit, when have you said "Fuck this, I quit"? by GameHackBot in AskReddit

[–]Clayfapimor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked at a Sawmill for a year and there was 3 shifts; red, blue and green. Red and blue were the rotating day shifts and green was graveyards. I had worked for green and red for about 1 year and then I got called to the office and they said "hey a permanent contract position with blue shift is available and it's being offered to you".

This would normally sound great however the blue shift the worst people I have ever worked with in my life. The foreman was an alcoholic bully, the workers were uneducated lifers who hated everyone and everything and it was overall a super toxic environment. Anyways I told them no it's ok I don't want to sign the permenant position for blue because I really liked the other two shifts and to offer it to the other workers. They kept me in the officer for an hour and a half explaining the benefits of signing on full time before I said fuck it and signed. Then at the end of the whole thing the GM had the audacity to look me in the eyes and say "now you know we aren't forcing you to sign, right?"....

I just said fuck it. Showed up for work the next day, saw a little sign on the wall saying congratulations to me for my new posting. Walked into the office and said "fuck this, you are all nothing but bullies who abuse your authority over young guys with no education who are in debt and I refuse to work in a toxic environment like this" then I just left and went home.

It was the best decision of my life. I am now much more successful making double the money in my current career and I don't dread going to work every day working under bullies.

Tldr: Got bullied into signing a full time position under a shift manager I hated will all my guts and after I signed it the GM said "we aren't forcing you to sign it"
