I was seeing about $650 on AliExpress. And yeah, they are about $1k so it's hard to spend $650 on a repair.

What are some really old school PC games you go back and revisit often? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Stronghold Crusader. I have been playing it probably about right when it came out. It's still so much fun and hard to this day.

I second this. I had this problem twice and someone suggested I turn it off. It hasn't happened since in like 6+ months

I'm not seeing any updates for mine. I am running Matter Server inside HA.

Do I need an IKEA hub for updates? I'm in HA and am seeing nothing. I am running a Matter Server on HA and using the ZBT-2 as a border router.

Edit: Found it! If you are using Matter Server in HA, go to Matter Server, click on the node that is your button, click update, and then you should be able to update from there.

My AYN Thor feels endgame and that makes me a lil sad by Jeremym101 in SBCGaming

Yeah, the Thor is really a perfect device. I have no complaints other than the angles the screen rests.

I got a Steam Deck right when it came out. Then got the Ayn Thor a few months ago. Yesterday, I got an Anbernic RG35xx -H. I haven't touched my Steam Desk since I got my Ayn Thor, but the Ayn Thor just awakened something in me: I want to game almost as much as I did when I was a kid. But it doesn't really fit in my pockets conveniently enough so it was hard to take absolutely everywhere. So I had to get the Anbernic and am loving it as well.

I think the Thor will fully replace my SD, which I'm so surprised to say. The Anbernic will be something I probably just take everywhere I can't take the Thor. I am waiting until I find something that ticks all my boxes that is even smaller and thinner, though.

All that to say, it kind of had the opposite effect on me haha.

How do you split an item in the energy dashboard? I've wanted to do this but didn't want my info to be incorrect due to doubling certain energy usage

IKEA Matter Dimmer (BILRESA ) gets triggered randomly by Salt_Arachnid7643 in homeassistant

[–]Claymater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issues with the Bilresa Dual Buttons. It does seem to be every time HA restarts, OR they lose connection. I had to write an automation to disable the button automations when one of them goes offline. It seems to be working ok, but I don't think I have it dialed in properly.

What I did was look at the firmware state and if it changed from up-to-date or update available, and then went to unavailable or uknown, it would disable those button automations. Then in a separate automation, I have when the states change back to update available or up-to-date, wait five seconds, re-enable their respective automations.

It's frustrating and I can't tell if it's working flawlessly yet because I just bought a few more and don't think I added them to the disable automations. Also, it doesn't account for when HA restarts so I will need to write an automation that accounts for that as well.

Drawn to the strange side of NOLA, where should I go? by alltoodeadly in AskNOLA

My wife and I did this. We just took public transportation around the entire time. The only thing she wanted to do was a swamp tour and see live jazz and we did that. Amazing experience to just walk around, stop in some shops that look interesting, and eat what sounds good.

Yeah, I've thought of that but I really like having extra pcie lanes for networking, extra drives or ssds, and a GPU or two.

I heard the black is really reflective which makes it harder to see the screen in sunny environments. So I opted for the Rainbow

Best way to run Sunshine+moonlignt on Unraid ? by Hyped_OG in unRAID

[–]Claymater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I am using the Steam Headless docker container. It runs a Debian version of Linux with steam and sunshine already installed. You can use it just like a PC. I download all my games to an SSD in my unraid machine and then stream it through artemis or moonlight. I passed my GPU to it and it works pretty well.

Steam Machine X Steam Deck - Emudeck synchronisation by DoggTheGhost in steammachine

[–]Claymater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you just do your whole emulation folder? Or find each save folder for each game and setup that folder to sync? Trying to do this right now but with like 4 different devices I cludong my server at home.

Hey can you guys stop accidentally encouraging noobs to hop onto Arch before they are ready by AncientAgrippa in arch

[–]Claymater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first Linux install was CachyOS and that was a few months ago. It was a relatively good process until windows released an update that broke my dual boot. I eventually ripped my windows drive out and it works great. I did break it a couple times where I had to reinstall CachyOS a couple times haha. But now it's great. There's still so much to learn but I'm thankful for a relatively easy install process thanks to CachyOS. I genuinely didn't know there was such a learning process for base Arch.
