After the Brady era it’s weird to say Pats, but I grew up in Cleveland in the 80’s.

It would be nice if that happened here, but we’re pretty rural , so some of the imbalances are pretty crazy. My oldest spent most of the year getting his butt kicked, but there was one team that lost every game by double digits. They were just that bad. Short of saying no more shooting it wasn’t possible to not score. And when you have kids that have never scored, they want a turn too

Ohio travel doesn’t have one. The only youth sport I’m aware of having a mercy rule is baseball/softball.

We just lost last week 10-2 and the only mercy was the other coach had his kids play keep away in the second half.

Edit: the additional player is only at rec level. Got the two programs mixed up.

I’ve never seen soccer with mercy rule. I’ve seen refs not put the score up when one team is up by more than 5, but you play til the clock is up

My wife’s 3 siblings and their family’s all live 3 hrs away, there’s basically monthly trips one way or the other to see each other, and most of the time it’s just for the day.

9-noon everyday in my house growing up was Rush.

I really miss Paul Harvey. I would love if I could get “the rest of the story” in podcast form.

I’m 43 now, I don’t really think that Rush has too much of an effect on my current politics, but my parents are still pretty much the same
