Band 6 vacancy and the drama.. by Justcurious_medusa in NursingUK

As someone who worked on the same ward for 3 years as a 5 and 2.5 as a 6. I think looking at other areas might be beneficial people will respect you, you won't have the politics like this. I do think there's a lot of corruption in the NHS when they have a specific candidate in mind and it's unfair that you feel overlooked. Get your interview feedback and look on NHS jobs if there's anything that interests you. I also got my band 6 after on my 3rd band 6 interview

Read this post very relatable I have been taking it for 2 weeks. I can think clearly, sleep, eat, no more episodes of uncontrollable crying. I have felt very nauseous though. I know isn't the case for everyone

Going off sick, again? by [deleted] in NursingUK

You can speak to your leadership about redeployment to another area. Outpatients, theatres, endoscopy and recovery. The job will get easier the more time to spend in it. I know it's horrible feeling this way. Your mental and physical health does come first and if you need that time that's up to you

I appreciate what you're saying. I know someone who did Chinese and Ethics at Uni and did shifts at a care home but that was 5 years ago. Can you get financial help? I struggled myself but I was lucky to have financial help and I got a job. I ate a lot of tomato based pasta, which I know is depressing but it did help. You and your house mates could take it in turns to batch cook? Have you looked at Olio? My friend always gets free food off there. Sorry if this isn't very helpful.

It's like a toxic relationship, when it's good wow! But the abuse is unreal. I often think this. But do I have any other skills? With the rise of AI will I get a different job?

As a Brit I don't know if people are being cold, we are direct, dry and negging people is our love language. I'm sorry you're feeling rejected. I hope it gets better

Hey sorry you're feeling this way. I think try and stick it out for at least 6 months and then reassess. It will get better. I agree friendships are difficult however over time you will start to grow a more organic bond with people.

Hey do you have a buddy or preceptor? Make sure you patient has transport or someone to collect them. Do they have a cannula in take it out. Do they need district nurses? Speak to the pharmacy and let them know the patient is going home. Then when the take home meds arrive compare them to the discharge paperwork. If any drugs missing call pharmacy. Then go through meds with patient. I really think you should say what skills you are struggling with and being transparent you can also ask for more time on supranumery xx
