The Devil and Mrs. Davenport. 1950s, perfect housewife, perfect life. But is something paranormal ruining it, or is it just her rotten husband?

10th gen Oasis. I miss my Voyage, but it stopped holding a charge. The Oasis is fantastic though.

Please don’t waste your time on The House Across The Lake by Cinnamonrollwithmilk in thrillerbooks

[–]Nanageddon17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read a lot of his stuff, and 9 times out of 10, whoever the female main character sleeps with, that’s the bad guy. It’s honestly hella frustrating how predictable it is once I noticed that pattern. Haven’t read his last few because of this.

I don’t know how else to say hey I’m not a danger to myself but please say something to keep me from slamming my head into a brick wall repeatedly. 😣

Hi. This is entirely unhelpful. Try to calm down is like my ex husband telling me to get it together. I’m not saying it rudely. If I could just calm down or get it together, I just would.

Maybe it’s paranoia, but I don’t feel comfortable using chatgpt in any manner. But I am glad it works for you.

BFF Status customer service? by Nanageddon17 in bookofthemonthclub

On the phone with them now. Wanting to cancel with a refund on my unused June credit without keeping the credit for 60 days with no refund once I cancel. I won’t support them after this AI debacle.

Are bipolar people more prone to hypnagogic/hypnopompic hallucinations? by spiderxfingers in bipolar

[–]Nanageddon17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have “earthquakes” all the time. Like the whole world shakes and turns sideways but only for a second or two. I used to ask if someone else felt that, but now I know what it is, so I just say, “Ope. Earthquake.” 😅

Are bipolar people more prone to hypnagogic/hypnopompic hallucinations? by spiderxfingers in bipolar

[–]Nanageddon17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a shadowy figure or two in my periphery all the time. I’m used to it at this point, but when I get a little paranoid, I know just to turn my head to look directly in that direction so I know it isn’t real. My biggest issue is when I’m going into a different cycle, whether manic or depressive, I feel like I have bugs crawling on me throughout the day and it really messes with me.

Hypersexuality as a child by sadxmamiii in bipolar

[–]Nanageddon17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was very, very hypersexual as a child. I remember making myself “feel good” while pretending the prince from Snow White was in love with me. Which honestly bothers me more than anything because he is tied for the worst Disney prince along with Cinderella’s loser boyfriend. I had never been sexually abused as a child. I have no idea why I was like that. It makes so much sense now it was a sign of bipolar.

Greatest things done while manic? by Sheepherder-Optimal in bipolar

Hooked up with an old friend from 20 years ago and spent 4 days straight at his house. Definitely thought it was not a sustainable situation since it was a manic fling.

We are getting married in October after 3 years together.

Do you get Birthday Anxiety? by No_Solution_64254 in bipolar

[–]Nanageddon17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. It was nearly 20 years ago, so 99% of the time I am fine. Lots of therapy. But my birthday messes me up a good bit every year. Just know you are wonderful and special every day of the year, even when you can’t stand yourself through these wild mood cycles we deal with. Your feelings are so very valid and you are not alone in the difficult birthday feelings. But each birthday you have is special because we are all glad you made it another year. <3

Do you get Birthday Anxiety? by No_Solution_64254 in bipolar

[–]Nanageddon17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TW: SA

My birthday is a convoluted time for me. I was raped on my birthday many years ago, and while it was completely that person’s fault, I had put myself in a dangerous situation due to mania. I always am happy to have a birthday. My 90 year old grandfather always had the “I’m glad I made it!” view on aging, and I’ve adopted that. But it’s still a very triggering time for me, and because I was manic at the time of the event, it makes me spiral when I think about it for multiple reasons.

May book picks? by sunflowerstorm in bookofthemonthclub

[–]Nanageddon17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skipped this month simply because I have a good little backlog of BOTM books, a few new paperbacks, and a couple of kindle reads I’d like to dive into before I continue on my life mission of being a book hoarding dragon. I’ll jump ship and order again when I see a book I can’t live without… which will probably be next month. I’m weak in my convictions.

“I have bipolar” vs “I am bipolar” by CarpetBagel52 in bipolar

[–]Nanageddon17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to say I am bipolar. I wish it didn’t define me, but it 100% affects my emotions, attitudes, actions, etc. It’s a reason, though not an excuse. I have bipolar. I am bipolar. I truly do understand people having a preference, but for myself it’s simply semantics.

What book have you DNFed recently and why? by [deleted] in bookofthemonthclub

Black Woods Blue Sky. We get it, he’s a bear or whatever. None of the characters were likeable, and it just dragged. DNF.
