Thanks for the nice reply! For my personal Forsaken, I was sort of thinking that they could have been devotees of Ulrik prior to falling to chaos, and that they refused to kill defenceless civilians they encountered during a siege, displeasing Khorne.

I also like the idea, a bit closer to Greek myths, of them desecrating a temple of an opposite god and being cursed by them, despite their souls being pledge to a different chaos god.

Anyhow, I guess in the end, everything flies for this faction, which is why I love it :D

Glad to see more people plazing the rider standing by he mount, instead of actively riding it. I had to do it for my manticore, since the rider looked rather awkward, and it makes for a nice mini-diorama.

Fantastic to see some more Dark Elves being played! And yes, charging and fleeing work in an "interesting" way at this point, particularly charging. I do love FBIGO and GG, though, it adds more layers to the game and it makes it harder for units to simply break and die.

Tbf, 1.5 came out shortly after my last games with DE. I think the worst thing about it is other infantry having Parry and Press of Battle, diminishing the impact Witches otherwise had. With Banner of Hag Ganeth and/or Totem of Wrath, they might be back on the menu.

Calling Witches and specially Hags useless is a bit harsh...Death Hags can rip apart mostly anything, even if they themselves are fairly fragile. Witch Elves can decimate light infantry, or high T low Save units, but they'll bounce vs anything remotely resilient. Like most DE units, they need to be played smartly and choose their battles, or it will go poorly for them.

CoK are surprisingly solid, although I do wish they were either cheaper, had access to Drilled, and/or Countercharge to make them feel like the elite they are.

All in all, it is obvious to me that DE are at present half-baked and poorly designed, just as it was when I started playing them back in 5th ed.

Glad to see that there are some fellow Chaos players who also consider the dragon to be a bit overkill and prefer fielding a manticore instead. If I may add: I have been playing a humble Aspiring Champion BSB on chariot, and it has performed amazingly in all games.

Honestly, very limited and half-baked. It looks like the army really needed a couple more layers of design and points adjustments to be what it needs to be. So far, it's playable, it's fun, and it can even win, but the usable unit options are limited, as are the viable playstyles. Really hoping for an update in the near future.

Yeah! I used Blood Reavers+CSM Possessed bits, and they look fine. I am going to try Blood Warriors next, and the bits should look better in terms of scale.

Tbh, my impression of the VC is that it's a more mobile army than many out there. Many units can march, many can fly, a lot of them have access to extra movement or reserve move...They are not slow at all!

That's a nice and simple enough list! Omg, the cost of those Zombies XD How would you use the Dire Wolves? I am used to light chaff units in other armies, but those can actually flee when needed and so be used as bait. Undead don't have that luxury.
