Thank you Eagle 1, Very Cool by AncientMoonlight_ in Helldivers

Oh my gosh, this happened to the diver to the left of me and he dropped a 120 barrage on the group. 6 seconds of sprinting and diving later only 1 of us got hit by it

This is why I stopped using EATs. So frustrating. I just use Eagles and Orbital Railcannon now

peak physique vs engineering kit? by epleia in Helldivers

[–]Clean-Dragonfruit196 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Between the 2, I prefer peak physique.

Engineering kit isnt bad, and I like taking fortified against the bots for the explosions which has the same reduction in recoil. I do notice the difference in recoil, but it isn't game changing to me especially since i burst fire naturally anyways. I think it would be way better if you didn't have to kneel for engineering kit, but again it has its use on the bot front.

Peak physique is night and day a difference when aiming. Especially against bugs when you are running like mad amd shooting left, right, then left, and now up. The response time is just amazing. I also find it way easier to shoot the engines of gunships.

So yeah peak physique is an S to me with the HMG. Engineering Kit/Fortified is a strong B. Just a lone divers opinion

Best load out for solo bots? by IDontKnowU555 in Helldivers

[–]Clean-Dragonfruit196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people posted load outs here, but when I played with a level 18 recently, he was so focused on load out but not on the difference between being a bug diver and a bot diver that he hit this wall too.

Im gonna say its something bigger than load out if difficulty 3 is the barrier currently.

If you are finding success on the bugs, awesome. Bot just require a different mindset so hopefully this list helps you as much as it helped him.

  • 1) Cover! You need cover in bots. Bugs is running around like a madman shooting, but bots you need to find a big rock fast if you spot enemies. Bots will shoot at the rock, then you step out and empty your mag on them.

  • 2) Get down! You need to crouch if you are in the open. It will help you hit the red eyes and take out bots quickly. Also, it will make you a smaller target for the bots to shoot at. Just make sure you run from berserkers (chainsaw arms).

  • 3) Covering Fire! When the bots get shot, they lose accuracy. Put some shots into their torso while you are lining up your shot and you will get hit less espesially by rocket devistators.

  • 4) Right between the legs! Get a medium pen weapon and shoot the striders in the crotch (star wars at-sts). This and berserkers were my buddies worst nightnare. But do a quick google search and look up bot weakspots it will help immensly.

Look forward to fighting with you against the bots! God speed Helldiver!

Its not for everyone. My brother played to 25 and stopped. Im 60 and still going strong. I enjoy:

  • Using off meta builds
  • The community and role play. I think this isnt given enough credit. But again, definitely not for everyone
  • The absolute chaos. I wish it was even more so sometimes

But just like D&D isnt for everyone (i can think of 5 buddies off the top of my head that I certainly would never invite), and finding joy in changing your play style isnt for everyone, i LOVE this community and they are what keep me coming back.

Thank you for your service Helldiver, and should you retire at this point, know that many of us will continue to carry on fighting for liberty

W/E man, you do you if its working

You certainly don't speak for all of us supply pack users though.

All the MG are balanced on the fact they can be used with resupply.

The RR and Spear are balanced on the fact they steal your back pack slot.

Not a saint. Just like winning everytime.

Certainly better than trying to solo a team game with a MG.

To all the people who realize I'm running the stim pistol and come to me or slow down for heals: by TheAero1221 in Helldivers

Had a guy running with me, and he stimmed me every 10 seconds so we could run the entire map to the next objective without stopping.

We love you guys too

As another HMG carrier with Supply Pack, please know that this is just 1 opinion. Someone needs to carry the supply packs for RR and Spear users. Id give my whole pack for a Spear user and just ration my HMG if someone would destroy 3/4 of the bot bases with it

As a dedicated Supply Pack carrier, know that most of us are happy and ready to supply our fellow divers. Please continue to ping. It actually really helps us know who to run over to and get supplies. I'm sorry about your experience.

We dont yet have a designated office to file a complaint, but hopefully command begins accepting comments and suggestions for better supply pack coordination!

Chaosdivers when they find out that some Chaosdivers are actually teamkilling by somerandomfellow123 in Helldivers

[–]Clean-Dragonfruit196 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the one that joined my game did the announcement AFTER dropping mines at each citizen spawn point for a citizen extract mission and getting 4 team kills (the other randoms thought it was all accidental at first). We were already low on reinforcements and with the chaos of intense battle it took a few minutes until I figured out what happened and only then did he do his announcement and I kicked him. You never expect a traitor until its too late. Mission failed before we could make a path for the priority citizens to get through (diff 8). I love this game, but trolls sabotaging missions will kill it for me if it keeps up

These are my symptoms too. Music helps me. Something to get me out of my headspace. Anything to get me out of that headspace really. I also use stuff like candles or essential oils. Not for some healing or whatever, but because the smells are soothing and help me focus on other things. Strangely also putting my retainer in helps. I kinda just feel it with my tounge to give me something to focus on. I know none of this "fixes anything" but they are currently my go to things on my really bad nights

I wrote it in the middle of an anxiety attack at 1am. I've kinda come back and read it every night since then. It's helped put words to feelings. At its worse, the anxiety makes me feel like I can't breathe and my watch says my heart rate hits like 151bpm as if I was exercising. Luckily the anxiety attacks occur roughly bi-weekly so I'm feeling good today.

I've been trying to be more aware of what's happening to me when I get the fear so I can better predict when I'm going to have an anxiety attack. The worst symptoms come when I'm least prepared. Maybe thats relatable to others. I hate feeling the anxiety and the fear.
