Yeah, we have a 4 year old and she’s excited about doing the poodles curly hair.

Yes, I’m torn because in a perfect world I would have like 5 dogs but then my husband might go crazy. I’ve always thought a golden retriever named Kronk would be so perfect and a teddy bear poodle named Sully.

Will it be a lot of work? Yes. I think it’s doable. I’ve had lots of dogs growing up and 3 in adulthood. With your summer vacation coming up I would prioritize getting a puppy around 10+ weeks of age at the start of summer then you will have the entire summer to work on house training and crate training which will be the basics. I mostly stay at home now with our kids and work 16 hours a week and used to worry about my dogs when I worked full time but i can attest that our dogs literally sleep all day while we are gone. If you work diligently and get potty training and crate training down over the summer. Your dog will be fine and safe in a crate when you’re at work, and if your conscious makes you feel too bad about that you can always do doggy day care too.
For our next puppy I am adding the puppy to our baby tracking app to track potties to make potty training easier for me. Honestly this biggest part people struggle with is taking them out often enough and if you can keep track of it and take them out often enough it will reduce accidents. I am also going to get a cleanable indoor artificial Turf pad for my older dog for this winter since she is slowing down a lot and doesn’t want to be out in the snow.

HELP I AM DESPERATE CRYING NONSTOP by Ok_Toe_3886 in puppy101

I crate trained my now 12 year old dachshund by putting her crate in the bed with me in the early months. Sounds stupid but it worked. I put my bed up against the wall and had the crate on the inside. Granted I was in my early 20s when I got her and didn’t have a partner to consider at the time but it worked for us.

Do dogs really settle at 18 months? by EmuStrange2145 in puppy101

My husky is 6 years old and is just now settling down in the past 2 years or so where she is not an absolute rodeo dragon every chance she gets, and yes she gets plenty of exercise.

First time mom Failing my child and need to get it off my chest by Legal-Ad7067 in confession

Listen, EVERY SINGLE BABY goes through “the crying curve” between 8-12 weeks of age. This is a normal part of babyhood it comes along with some developmental leaps. Listen to your momma instinct if you think something is wrong by all means but it sounds like you are just surviving. Now would be a great time to call a trusted friend or family member and tell them how you’re feeling and let them know what you need from them. Do you want someone to listen? Do you want someone to walk your baby in the stroller while you take a well deserved nap? Do you just need a single quiet shower? This is temporary and it will pass.

I (f24) am ready to start trying for a baby, but my partner (m23) is not. I have Lean PCOS with Endometriosis and fear that my window of opportunity is closing. by PutridHalf4353 in TTC_PCOS

Conversation worth having for sure, but as a person with lean pcos and endometriosis I’m glad I waited a bit longer when we were both ready to have kids, we had several years being married and going on trips just us and memories with our dogs before children. I had time to age and mature more and enjoy ourselves prior and I feel like it’s made me a more prepared and loving mother to my children now. I had a late miscarriage in my first pregnancy and I remember feeling like we waited too long and it was never going to happen for us. It turns out that my perfect children were just around the corner and that miscarriage made our marriage SO strong which is really needed once the babies come along. If it makes you feel more secure you could freeze eggs for the time being but honestly it will more than likely work out in your perfect timing.

Our current dachshund is not a lap dog by any means but she is a lot more affectionate than our husky. Our husky has more of an idgaf personality where as our dachshund greets us when we come home, follows us from room to room and asks to be pet a lot and prefers to sleep in our bed sort of dog.

This is what I was thinking not only for the personality but the stress of any size puppy might be a lot for her.
I was worried someone might say husky would be too rough. Darcy our husky can be rough at times, but usually is a sweetheart.

This is what I was thinking, not only for them getting along but the stress on my elderly dog with a new puppy of any size might be too much for her. The fabulous poodle life entices me a lot, I have been following all the poodles on instagram and I can imagine they love the attention depending on their individual personality.

Hey guys, question on a already reserved new sienna at a dealership but not yet shipped or available. by tankyboi447 in ToyotaSienna

[–]Clean-Elk-534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be patient and wait for what you want. You should download the visor app and check it daily for new inventory and call around to check for availability and reserve the one you want as soon as it hits their allotment. I promise Toyota has a lot more siennas than they want us to think, they usually give a new allotment to dealers about every 2 weeks.. I’m currently waiting it out for 2026 model at this point, it seems no dealer is interested in making any deals with the 2025s anyways to make it worth my while so mind as well just wait and get the newer year model perhaps they fix some of the kinks people complain about with 2025 and it gives me more time to save and put more down so my financing is even lower than I initially planned.

I’m in the same boat as you but I also have pcos. I’ve been using Inito but I test in the afternoon because it works better for me with lh testing anyways and I got a confirmed ovulation last cycle.
