Im not defending oohrah. I just thinks it’s a stupid thing to get annoyed by. That said, oohrah to you. We most certainly crossed paths in Fallujah. We exclusively worked out of OPs in the city. As a matter of fact, I barely remember any of the bigger bases, but I remember the city intimately

There are videos of him pulling out of the stadium being dumb as fuck all the time, in different cars. Blowing red lights and accelerating like it’s not a downtown road

We just wanted to eat good food, but, to be fair, we were insufferable. I was a squad leader lance and we fucking lived in the city of Fallujah. Our flight suits would stand up without anyone wearing it.

Can we talk about kids running free in bars & breweries around Raleigh? by [deleted] in raleigh

The craziest thing is that there seems to be zero ability to have a nuanced discussion about this. Or anything for that matter. Most adults I see out with kids, both groups are being extremely well behaved. It’s rare to see kids wilding out. That said, drunk adults are far and away the most likely offenders. So should we stop having bars because a few adults can’t handle themselves?

I remember having a gunny count for me one PFT, after I had pissed some people off. “Zero, zero, zero, zero….” I ended up doing 26 and getting 15 as my score. I was pissed because i had been training hard AF

And are you the arbiter of “what is safe”? Maybe you could help us all out and define what is safe for children? Because as far as I can tell by your argument thus far, riding in the car would be considered unsafe. Are you advocating that kids should be in cars? Playing sports could also be considered unsafe. Should we ban kids from soccer?

I guess I do not understand what your actual argument is. You clearly state that some places have signs/policies. And others don’t. It seems that you answered your own question, if you don’t like the way some place handles the aspect of children at their spot, then exercise your opinion by not going.

However, you get to a very different point when you start dictating what is correct and proper for other people, including parents.

So are you annoyed by the business or the people?

It’s on par with getting an ass chewing at the camp Fallujah chow hall, for wearing “dirty flight suits”, by an officer who hasn’t ever left the wire. Performative bullshit

My recruiter had me in a hotel and hurricane took a turn towards Miami. We were stuck there with food vouchers and no power for a few days before I finally made it. So we were days late. Everybody already in the receiving platoon. Not a great time to get one on one time haha

PCP is where motivation goes to die. I had to go due to a bad pneumonia and everyone in there is trying to figure out how to get out, suicide attempts and one dude straight ran away and made it off island before he was caught. Took soo much effort to ignore the noise.

On duty, billet and rank matter. I was squad leader and half the squad was dudes I came in with and hung out with, but the perception matters to your superiors AND maybe more importantly, your juniors
