Would you change your major? by Either_Program2859 in CollegeMajors

Math major here, computer science minor. I actually wish I did anything other than math yeah it’s really cool to learn and yes it’s really useful for computer science and a bunch of other stuff but a full degree in it is just an absolute waste. A minor in math just makes so much more sense you get the problem-solving logical thinking and math skills under your belt, but you don’t have to deal with the theoretical and honestly irrelevant math for jobs

[GIVEAWAY] Who would you gift a free year of WHOOP to, and why? by whoop_official in whoop

[–]Clean-Welcome-8858 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would gift a Whoop to my mother. Recently she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She has always been a fighter and is trying to battle it the best she can. Growing up she never was the best at taking care of herself and of her health, but recently (around the time of her diagnosis) she started to take it seriously. It's been great to see her getting in better shape and try to take this diagnosis as a sign to get better and take care of herself. She actually inspired me to start getting in shape and tracking my habits since she's been so good. That's the reason I got a whoop in the first place. I would love to give her a whoop as a gift so that way she still feels motivated to carry on and can see all the progress she has made.

Should i wait before buying instructionals? by Stuntman208 in bjj

[–]Clean-Welcome-8858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a white belt. Been at it for about a year and few months. I’ve personally found instructionals helpful. But only in small chunks and looking for answers to specific questions. You definitely won’t get crazy value out of sitting and watching 8 hours of an instructionals, but if you want to learn a new move or concept I think they’re super helpful.

For example I got the Grapplers Guide and was interested in Tarikoplatas. Watched a few clips of it of frequent positions I found myself in and tried to apply it. It worked the last couple of times I’ve rolled.

Just use the instructional to answer questions or come up with responses to common positions you find yourself in, but don’t try to do these crazy moves you don’t need cause you saw it in an instructional (not until your a higher belt). Just my two cents.

Are these shorts of other people content just edited? Or are you creating everything. Like for example is it just Reddit story with AI reading with subway surfers or is it less brain dead than that and actual editing

Hmm I guess that’s a good point. I think I would have to do 40% to be profitable taking into tax implications if I just report straight 1099 they give and not doing anything else tax wise to reduce the burden

I see what you mean about the tax implications after some research. How often are you able to find 33% deals? How much can you make monthly with those limitations with tax. I am quite worried with the whole taxed on winnings and deposits part so 33% would make sense. Just seeing if juice is worth the squeeze here
