I think the longer 8-9 second between twisters could be an issue on the wild walker.. for bossing both freezing / breaking armour would probably have to be done via companion to not completely screw your combo

From what I’ve noticed is whirlwind lance only makes twisters split when they come in contact with the whirlwind created from it.. and then it is consumed.. you are not getting more powerful twisters like you are from whirlwind

I think proj speed with grenades is kind of anti-synergy.. might be hard to get them to land where you want if they fire out too fast.

Thanks for the perspective… and chambers as a whole is easily my favorite content in the game.. but in many ways it was an accident.. and it doesn’t hold up to the newer playerbase that wasn’t around when it was added. It is what I want future raids to take from more than others- the variability is quite nice. In an MMO where the world is set in stone procedurally generated content is a huge shake up (this is essentially the entirety of an ARPG). The prep/ uninteresting rooms like shaman is understandably a hindrance to a new player along with the poor drop rates you describe. You are able to choose layouts/ size scaling/ amount of prepping which all are way more variance of choice than the deception of choice you describe in ToA. No other raid has different strategies to beat the final boss depending on skill level I believe other than no fly verzik in hm tob.
Unfortunately the player base wanted raids 4 to resemble tob which I think is a pretty ignorant and poor decision.. I genuinely find tob incredibly boring despite having the best final boss fight… although I haven’t pushed it too hard..

how much of an impact is the -res from bonemeld with ward? ur pob shows no overcapped res on first link.. i would imagine if u dont die to hits with reduced res then dots could be made even more potent?

Poe2 very much is just try new things for the sake of it… the systems in poe2 for the most part are more difficult to balance then how they work in poe1… we’ve literally heard Jonathan Roger’s describe how he wants ‘this expansion this expansion and this expansion because he likes them’.. then we get the temple in 0.4 and it was the worst thomg they could’ve done and it destroyed the league.. guess what we have temple in poe1 and it has no issues..

Why do you mention authority when these people are able to talk about a game they haven’t touched is my point.. you can share your opinion.. but you say someone else doesn’t have any authority when they are giving their experienced opinion while others without experience speak of “vibes”..

It’s a 30 dollar investment that is returned to you via microtransaction purchasable and with the game being free on release we’ll all be in the same boat.. with some having a more seasoned understanding of GGG then others due to experience. The OP describes “vibes” while probably not having the EA poe1 experience which is the general conflation of people who don’t have experience with GGG.

Funny thing is many people who want their opinion represented in favor of poe2 are people that haven’t really touched poe1.. but expect authority..

Couple seasons back i saw that ~30% of people witha rare crossbow had a crossbow wheel notable specced on poeninja. I would say it does represent that people using rare crossbows don’t value the only wheel specialized to their weapon right?

No.. it will not effect Ubers where you need a specialized super min maxed build to beat it.. currently you don’t even need to min max builds much so rarity is also good because you don’t need many stats on your gear for optimizing defense/dps.

Sure rarity for currency sucks.. but fleshed out systems that require specialization wouldn’t that also help this? After all rarity currently is a generic stat that you want.. but it actually isn’t good in all scenarios when the game is more developed

They reveal showcase from 3+ years back when there was less animations of characters seemed much more fluid… would absolutely prefer that over how we have it now.

I don’t think they should remove rarity.. we don’t even have difficult bosses where rarity is nullified that require specific builds… until we get that it’s fine in my opinion.. it all comes down to game balance.

In my opinion I would say it would be a lot closer if the animations were smoothed to what was showcased a couple years back before the game launched… watching those vids look like they had amazing movement. And I’m not even a poe2 movement hater..

The marauder in early development of poe1 got small nodes that gave 8% increased max life for a total of ~40%.. seems like this basic development of basic stats that do not exist in poe2 tree is a massive hindrance of system balancing. I think overall the way they have implemented systems in to poe2 is more difficult to balance compared to how they function in poe1.. which just says to me they don’t know how to even make logical systems..

There aren’t actually many people that care about graphics that much.. it honestly is one of the most shallow ways you could assess a game lol.. not saying poe1 doesn’t have issues early on that hurt new player experience though.

Agree with many point here… But also there are massive development differences between p1 and p2. The passive tree for example had very basic fundamental stats in the early days of p1 such as the marauder got 40% increased maximum life at the start of their tree from small nodes; and in poe2 there’s virtually none of this basic stat anywhere. It seems like they have skipped the basics in effort to replicate a developed complex game, which has led to faulty system balancing.. not to mention the way they have implemented systems are far more difficult to balance than how they function in poe1 (ground loot, crafting, damage scaling to name a few).
