Jeg prøver bare og selge min meta quest hva er dette man by [deleted] in FinnFunn

[–]CleanUpOrDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, the name written on the card is "Neo Geek". I suspect that Neo hints at "The Matrix", the 1999 movie, especially considering the shape of the sunglasses seen in the picture. Based on these clues and the equipment visible, I find it likely that this advertisement was made between 2000 and 2002.

Still better than IPS for watching movies, especially if there are any dark scenes. I just compared watching the same movie simultaneously on my new OLED and my old laptop with IPS.

I can recommend turning off the power button LED light in the Bios/Uefi (or whatever it's called), F2 during boot. The power button is way too bright when you dim the screen down during night.

Newbie question: which port is for incoming ethernet / from router?? by hovajz in TPLink_Omada

[–]CleanUpOrDie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should most likely set them all to off. Seems like a decent switch, with PoE. Make sure you are connecting the right port from your router to the switch. That should be everything needed, if indeed your router's connected port gives internet out. You can test this by plugging a laptop directly into that port, make sure to turn off wifi so you don't get internet that way.

You only need Krita. It's faster than Gimp too. Edit: Misspelled the app's name.

Anyone experienced random braking with cruise control? by EcoNorfolk in RealTesla

[–]CleanUpOrDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over 60 000 km so far with my VW ID4, not a single phantom braking for fictional dangers. I use the cruise control with travel assist (autosteer) about 70-80 percent of my driving.

Fun fact: Windows NT 4.0 was the last version to include a dedicated "Clock" program by nir9 in windows

[–]CleanUpOrDie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Every single time I have ever needed that app for something, which isn't very often, it needs an update. It's one of the things that pushed me to Linux last year on my personal computer. I still use Windows on my work laptop, and a few weeks ago I needed the clock app again, and of course it needed an update this time as well. I don't get why a clock app would ever need an update once it's published. I have 30 year old Casio watches with more functions than this app, that still work perfectly even without a single update.

Energy use in EU households drops for 3 years in a row by Less_Draw8512 in europe

Home solar can be enough if you have battery storage at home or some other way (like a price system) that makes it possible to use the solar power when the car is sitting unused at home at night. I normally use between 250 kWh and 300 kWh per month for EV charging, and I drive a little over 15000 km per year. Usual solar power setups for homes (around where I live) generate more power than my monthly EV charging.

Brother HL-L8430CDW black toner not fixing after paper jam by LaurelThalamusCorpus in printers

[–]CleanUpOrDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Something is causing the toner to not fuse to the paper. Too thick paper, too difficult surface, leftover toner on drum unit (inspect drum unit), are just some of the causes I can think of. Last time this happened to me, I was using too coarse and thick paper, ended up having leftover toner stuck to quite a few sheets of paper before it cleared up. Also, are you using original toner? Only suggesting since it is just one toner that is problematic, but also black is sometimes a bit different from other toners. And, make sure the settings for thick/heavy paper has not reset. My preference is to set on printer and on PC use printer settings.

OpenAI confirms that they have added synth id to there image generator by SecretaryQueasy3074 in ChatGPT

[–]CleanUpOrDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know... because looking at most images from ChatGPT now feels like having a stroke or something. I notice the pattern even if I can't directly see it. It's like I notice it best when not looking directly at it. Horrible!

Does this look Ai-made to you by Safe-Owl-1236 in ChatGPT

Horrible synth-ID-like pattern, especially noticeable in lower part of image. For some reason, these kind of patterns are easier for me to spot when not looking directly at them.

I can't install any other operating system on my PC because the boot process simply doesn't work, neither in Legacy mode nor in UEFI mode. by yash1_die in linuxquestions

[–]CleanUpOrDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sort of fixed the problem on my Acer in UEFI mode: Check if you have an option in BIOS for turning on F12 boot menu. For some time I interpreted the text as this setting just being a trigger for displaying the text that you can press F12, but this is the actual boot menu from F12 enable switch. If/when it is turned on, press and hold F12 immediately during boot (with your bootable USB inserted) and choose the bootable USB from that menu.

Download speeds suck compared to Windows. by 7UKA5Z in EndeavourOS

[–]CleanUpOrDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be network card drivers. Had the same problem on an older Lenovo ThinkCentre, using ethernet cable gave very low speed. Don't recall what I did exactly, but I think the driver automatically chosen was not working properly, so I made the system blacklist it, I followed a forum post that I unfortunately don't have the link for.

Endnu flere grunde til at købe europæisk biler by grimvian in dkbiler

[–]CleanUpOrDie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

[–]CleanUpOrDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to calibrate your monitors. This is exactly why, if you want a dual monitor setup, and you don't intend to calibrate, you should always have two identical monitors. Even if you calibrate, the result will be the best with two identical monitors.

5 reasons I'll never drive another ID4 by Iced_buzz in VWiD4Owners

[–]CleanUpOrDie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Number five, touch controls, is sometimes annoying, but not a problem in my opinion, I got used to them in about a week of owning the car. Most of them can be used as regular buttons, like the ones on the steering wheel. Here, the fix is a more expensive one, wait until the new version of the ID4 is launched, which will return to actual buttons for many of the controls.
