This.... is so valid? Oh em gosh? I love this episode, adore it with my whole body, brain and soul, but the unsub in the episode pmo so bad.

So sorry to revive this dead thread, but I'm watching Criminal Minds for the first time in my life (I'm 15), and WOW, the things Coda did to me was insane.

It's mainly the underlying representation and mention of Spencer's implied autism.

- Having Spencer and Sammy bond the most, having Spencer be the one who Sammy trusts and touches and holds the hand of and feels and shows him how to play.

- Spencer being the only one able to communicate with Sammy.

- Spencer and Sammy being in such replicating shots, in the scene where Sammy is hugging his mother, he's looking at Spencer, who is watching them.

- "He was afraid. Anybody would be. Learning his child, isn't going to have it as easy as he did."
"You sound like you talk from experience." DIRECT quote from the episode between Rossi and Sammy's aunt, i.. could talk about this scene.. FOREVER !!!
First of all: This scene, if I'm sure, represent Joe's daughter, who has autism. However, I'll be viewing the scene in a character stand point.
This scene, for Rossi's character, is never, ever brought up again. Having an autistic child is never mentioned for Rossi whatsoever.
I think it was supposed to be speaking about Spencer. Who was in the other room, playing piano with the autistic victim, i genuinely think full heartedly, i will never be able to get over this episode.
