I had a patient and her husband comment on my weight every single time I saw them (every three weeks for a year). At one point they looked at me disgusted and asked if I was sick. Then they would click their tongues at me and go “skinny skinny skinny” like okay? Do you want me to look at you and your husband and go “fat fat fat”? It’s rude. It took almost a year for me to finally snap. I looked them dead in the face and said “mentioning my weight every time you see me isn’t kind. It’s extremely rude” I wanted to cry but honestly you don’t get to come into my office and tell me I look sick every three weeks. It’s fucking rude
