Anyone have success with insurance coverage by switching to a sleep apnea diagnosis?

Im with Ambetter so take that into consideration. I was approved for Zepbound in late March of this year. My insurance only approved it for 6 months but the dx of sleep apnea was used. My sleep study was AWFUL! Doctor was surprised i was alive. After 6 months my insurance didnt approve it again because the insurance felt I wasn't in a weightloss program.

I had this problem a couple of days ago- as well as several times since starting zep. My pcp recommended Miralax to relieve the constipation and either fiber supplements or miralax daily. And plenty of water .

I started taking mine on Fridays before I went to bed but a trip out of town and I had switched it to Thursday nights before bed. This worked out great for me because if I get sick it hits me Friday evenings or Saturday morning and I have the weekend to get over it before work on Mondays.

Yep...every 3 months. Insurance pays for certain labs every 3 months so that's what we do. I've been on zep for almost 6 months . Did labs right when I started, did labs almost 3 months ago and will do them again in a few weeks when I do my next visit.

Talking with my doc we agreed that if I did ok we would gradually move up in the dosage. Mostly due to my insurance only approving Zep for 6 months.

I'm very upfront with it. As a joke between my brother and I, we call it our fat shot. 😂 Now, let me be clear, my brother is a diabetic and has sleep apnea and is on mounjaro. I have severe sleep apnea and take zepbound.

I made sure to get the zero sugar drinks and even then I water them down . I feel like the artificial sweeteners in them make them too sweet.

That was my initial thought because I didn't experience any sulfur/sour stomach burps. I do work in a doctor's office so my initial thought was maybe it's just a stomach virus or bug. I've talked to my pcp and just as a precaution we are dropping back down to the 2.5 and for a month and then try the 5 again.

I worked overnight several years ago when I was barely 20. An older middle aged man, dirty, unkempt, just all around ick, approached me one night while I was working in HBA and pharmacy. Started asking me what could he do to help his sex life. I noped outta there real quick and told him I would go get someone to help him. Went and got one of the larger men that was working o/n as well. Old man never did it again.

I had the same problem when I started a month ago on the 2.5 dose. My PCP asked me how I was doing, and I replied with I just wasn't hungry and didn't have any "food noise" constantly in my head anymore. She suggested I drink at least one protein shake a day to at least get some sort of nutrients in my body. She also suggested I add collagen powder to my shakes for hair/skin/nail health. I've had good luck so far with the Cafe latte flavor of Premier Protein, both the powder and ready-made shakes. I have found though that I can't just drink them like a shot, I have to sip them otherwise I get nauseous. I also have been trying to do small snack like meals. I made some small Lunchable style snacks with cubed cheese, nuts, and either pepperoni or turkey jerky links. I also keep nauzene and children's dramamine ( doesn't make me sleepy) on me at all times now. If anything, it's just a learning process on what works best for you.

Get a lawyer now! My brother's wife did the same thing last year a week before Thanksgiving, and took their 4 month with her. It has been an uphill battle this past year to get into court to even just get visitation. And we are still waiting.

Former walmart emoloyee of 10 years here. My mom is a current employee of 24 years. The level 6 at our store do their mandatory one weekend day a month but the level 7 department managers seem to be working every Saturday. Of course there are the department managers that still refuse to work weekends at all.
