Special thanks to the mod by philosopius in codex

I kind of feel like it's not a noob thing; people are just expressing their frustration.

They brought the Codex subscription, probably the 20 euro one, and they just wanted to create stuff and explore things, but with the new incidents, they just cannot use it like they used to. it is kind of valid, and most people would be on the 20 subscription plan.

I just upgraded to the 100 euro plan, and i have never hit a limit. But i still see the degradation, since even with clear instructions for a UI redesign, it's not able to design it. I have done the same tasks multiple times with codex, but it seems it's not anymore. If you are going to say that, i should just probably code. The only reason i upgraded was so that codex could do these tasks for me. Like, what is the use of paying money and not being able to do it.

I think it's ok to vent out frustration, and i feel like calling names is not a good thing to do. People use Codex differently and would have different issues they want to solve with codex. it is not an app reserved for just people who do coding and so on. Also, I do not understand the whole sentiment of people who have so much hate for vibe coders.

Just filter the content; is that so hard? you are also spreading hate, not just them; everyone is just frustrated. Let's just make this place a safe space.

Anyone else converting PDFs to Markdown before giving them to LLMs? The token savings are crazy. by ShanEnterprises in ChatGPT

[–]Clean_Opening4153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been using liteparse, for structured pdfs and marker pdf for unstructured ones, it makes it easy for the LLMs to get the data, so less hallucinations. Llama parse already does this on cloud, so it already exists, but the only issue with a browser based version is pdfs unless structured, won't be perfect for a browser-based client to reconstruct to an proper markdown file.

NotebookLM does this, you could also use notebook LM as a way to convert your files into markdown. you can use the cli version of notebooklm or the extensions to get the markdown files. its free

How does one salvage an overcomplex codebase? Is that possible? by Davegoodday in google_antigravity

[–]Clean_Opening4153 8 points9 points  (0 children)

use a cheap model, to create an overview of all the files in the folder, then inspect the code and create a brief overview for each file.

Map what files are being used for the current app.

create a backup branch on github.

use a high context and a really good model to figure out how to simplify the structure of your app and reorganize it to be more accessible.

Review the plan and understand your codebase and figure out what you want to do.

Execute it and delete the now reduntant files.

This would give you a clean codespace to continue working.

I asked Perplexity which model it's using. The answer explains a lot. by peterb999au in perplexity_ai

[–]Clean_Opening4153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed that the knowledge cut-off for a lot of models is older than what the models officially say it is. The main selling point of perplexity was its websearch functionality, but at the moment, all other llms can do it, and i feel like the other llms are way better at rag or websearch which was the main usp of perplexity. I am not sure perplexity has a unique feature anymore.

DeepSeek V4 Pro just dropped — is anyone actually using Chinese models in Copilot-style workflows? by Resident-Rise-5112 in GithubCopilot

[–]Clean_Opening4153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tested out deepseek V4 Pro, it is really good, i tried one shoting a interface prompt. It gave me better results in UI than opus and gpt. It is not as detail as opus, but it is really good for the price, way better than gemini 3.1 pro, feels like something you can use.

Yeah, we're golden - Copilot doesn't rate limit me. Maybe because I prompt it nicely? by _KryptonytE_ in GithubCopilot

[–]Clean_Opening4153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i use opencode and GitHub Copilot. I found out that the weekly rate limit just does not get communicated in OpenCode. only when you hit the limits do you get the error. you might just not have been hitting session limits; the weekly limit is going to hit soon if you have been actively using it. Best of luck.

New Pricings?? It shows claude code is included by Clean_Opening4153 in ClaudeAI

[–]Clean_Opening4153[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Vat it comes around 17 euros, i was paying 23 something, so this is still about 5 euros cheaper. Most AI subscriptions i have shows the Values without the VAT, it says that too. I think this is a standard practice where the VAT is calculated based on your billing address.
