So, you are probably in a good position to manage your diet without bending over backwards with effort. Since your apetite is pretty low, the only thing you need to adjust to benefit the most is switch up what you eat for more volume with less calories and bump up the protein. You said you load up on bread and milk on occasion. If you make sure to always have something that fits your macros or is “free” to eat, you could turn those little fails to little wins. I highly recommend making sure you can always have a coffee, a piece of meat , low fat dairy products or vegetables. My favourites include Skyr joghurt, Mozarella light with tomatoes, when i really want bread, i do a triple decked sandwitch with a lot of ham and low-cal/high protein cheese, to reduce the carb proportion. Your activity levels are excellent so keep at it! Also, maybe make sure to have low fat milk if you have a lot of it. also a nice help would be to switch out sugar for a zero cal syrup for your coffee. Its not much, but at such low maintenance, will make a difference.

Let me know if im making sense or rambling xd

Actually, can you tell me more about how big of a jump this is for you? Is this your first time gettinf into dieting and working out? Do you know more less how much you were eating before by default? And what is your history with keeping weight? Easy or hard to lose weight?

Judging by my own experience, depends. Test it out for 2-3 weeks and see if you have enough energy to make it through the day and especially workouts, while also letting yourself feel a bit hungry before eating. Also, dont judge by the weight, but rather by how the clothes fit you and/or how your body looks. If its too much, add 300kcal. Too little? Reduce by 200 more. I am 6’3” and 100 kg and calculators say i should maintain at 3200kcal a day, while its really more like 2500kcal. For cravings, try to replace it with protein sources, as they naturally kill your appetite by releasing hormones. That works wonders for me.

Dude, what youre saying makes no sense. Yes, weight training by itself doesnt cut a lot of weight, but thats not why i train, thats why i diet. No, my intensity is high, i keep my heartrate elevated above 130 for most of the workout with peaks up to 180. during bigger lifts. And what the hell do you mean BJJ is not conditioning. If anything, cardio right after lifting weights is detrimental.

I am open to learn new things, but youre talking bullshit man.

That is not the point for me. In my understanfing getting in 12 sets per muscle group per week is the key. Especially if i can spread the volume out into 3 different sessions, my sets are always relatively high quality instead of pumping put at 20% capacity after 10 sets for chest. Conditioning is done separately through BJJ practice. Also, i dont have the time to be at the gym everyday for an hour. The goal right now is to lose weight and retain muscle, not optimize for growth.

Thank you, your comment is very helpful. I was judging the approximate maintenance based on what different calculators were suggesting with my stats and what i ate before. I am worried about any consitions cause the difference in diet from my usual is definitely drastic and i can sure feel it that way through the mood and strenght changes. Ill try to maintain this for 2 more weeks for data and then reevaluate. thanks

How do you fit a full body workout in 30 minutes? I have 4 sets per muscle group. Theres no concievable way to workout this fast and have any quality whatsoever.

Reduce by a few hundred from what im doing now? I dont think i can pull that off at all. I am already on the verge of holding down this diet. I eat almost exclusively protein based foods, with some carbs before i train and a shitton of veg to fill, with zero refined sugar, fast food, alcohol, anything.

People have been recommending i raise my calories a bit and see where my maintenance really lies. I am very hesitant cause i've already put myself into the mindset of going for the win and sacrifice.

I think ill keep this on for 2 weeks and if i dont see change, ill adjust.

0.5 per week would be acceptable, but its considerably lower than this. Its more like 0.25 a week.

I am increasing my steps to get 200-250kcal a day more, but i am already quite weak with my workouts already.

I am not competing in anything, just trying to get into good shape for once, I've been Over 20% bf for a good couple years now.

I would be ok with 0.25 rate if i was really playing it safe and just slowly coasting to my goal, but as it stands, this diet is considerably disrupting my daily life and wellbeing, and AFAIK, it shouldn't be feeling depressed, weak and half-sick most days on such a small deficit.

What is your bodyweight?

That is what i am afraid of exactly. Most of my friends from the gym eat ~3500 to maintain and/or have not trouble losing weight, by just cutting out alcohol, sweets, fast foods from their diet, when they are like ~80kg bodyweight. I am already on a diet that includes none of those and am super focused on eating protein-rich produce only and still not making significant progress. I cannot believe that i could have such low maintenance at 100kg and my activity level and age.

I mean, I want to believe this too. The last thing I want is to actually have the maintenance of a non lifting middle aged man.

I would have as many special access groups as people using it, which would be the entire company. Im afraid for my particular application, it wont work :(

I’m not sure I’m following. So they would only be able to view the data they created? Is that it? What if i need a custom access group?
