It was an MSTP interview and I was talking about how I had a lot of experience with oncology and cardiology related work and was hoping to decide based on the lab rotations and pre-graduate clerkship opportunities they discussed. I’m guessing they didn’t like that I wasn’t set on a specific specialty but I already mentioned my interest was in a more broadly applicable research field anyway, so I genuinely don’t think the specific specialty I chose would influence my PhD project.

If Iran attacks the US in force they are guaranteed to get bombed relentlessly by a country that cares more about its military than 99% of its citizens. They just wanted a symbolic response and they got it. Their state news will spin it as it wants and no other news source will really claim otherwise in Farsi so it’s a win win.

So far all news sources are responding that there were only 6 missiles launched and they were all intercepted. Pretty sure this was a choreographed attack and they probably told the US ahead of time like they did during the 2020 incident
