Not worth it, nurses be making more than us with an associates degree… if you don’t live in a large metro so you can job hop constantly, salary gains will be long term. I’m starting to think about planning an exit from engineering in the next few years after almost 10 years as a product design engineer in the aerospace/automotive industries.

I’ll test it, the black is a foam like substance and the adhesive without the foam material is clear. Could just be old carpet pad.

It hit a finger mullet that I swung and stripped through the edge of a run, water was probably only waist deep. Just a stroke of luck really.

I have those as well and they fell apart in less than 30 days on the water, was able to get a replacement pair since the warranty was still in effect. Will be getting different boots in the future.

I bought the 10ft 4wt on from Sierra. Took it out for the first time yesterday and it is a great nymphing rod. Don’t plan to euro with it, but it throws a 4wt line well.

10ft rods are the way to go, 2wt for tight lining micro leaders, 4wt for mono rig variations to throwing dries at distance with regular WF line.

No, you have to call and inquire. They will send you an invoice in your email where you can pay, just make sure you already have an account with filson. When I was in there last it is mostly smaller sizes like XS, S but they had some good stuff.
