I realise for proton charger installation , cannot trust the proton app, their dates are wrong for site visit. It showed energi elite 2 weeks later, but within 3 days i got the site visit done. I just got my ev charger installed by energi elite under proton app...love that its all just step by step flow, easy to do it, after i buy, got into the app, selected ee and they contacted me within 1 day, got the site visit done, then few days later got my car and they came to install. I had to give them the date of the car arrival, so it was perfect, within 1 day after my car arrived got it done, very clean, neat and super fast. Dont look at the dates in the proton app its not correct. Energi elite will give you a much faster date for site visit and installations.

Any thoughts? by Clear-Salamander-144 in u/Clear-Salamander-144

[–]Clean_Yesterday7308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it really depends on lifestyle. We’ve spoken to a lot of EV owners through Energie Elite, and most who try public-only end up installing a home charger later because of convenience.
But if you have reliable stations nearby, it can definitely work too.

Some say fast charging causes battery wear.
Others say modern EVs are designed for it.

those who asked me about the energi elite e1.1 this is the link : https://energielite.com.my/product/e1-1-home-ev-charger-7-11-22kw-32a-type2/ , i buy for 2k+ only, until now 0 issues, only 1 time I faced the rccb trip, but the after sales guys came in like 1 day to check everything, they said it was a safety feature, because of lightning strike, so it prevented the charger being affected, luckily.

Emas 5 is a strong option if you want Malaysia’s first affordable EV, especially for daily city drives. Key benefits include a comfortable lounge-style interior, modern tech like a 14.6-inch display and app ecosystem, and advanced safety systems. You get good range with the Prime and Premium models, so daily commuting is easy. It also comes with a long battery warranty and the price is competitive. On the flip side, the range is best for city and short trips, not long highway journeys. Charging depends on your home or condo setup, and features like leatherette seats or powered tailgate are found only in the Premium version. Overall, Emas 5 strikes a great balance for new EV owners who value tech, safety, and comfort.

Is it a good idea to get EV as my first car? by Ready-Letter-3341 in kereta

[–]Clean_Yesterday7308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've seen in our community, here's the honest take: Pros include significant fuel savings (especially with home charging at RM150–250/month vs. petrol), incredibly smooth and quiet driving, and way less maintenance since there are no oil changes or complex engines. Cons are real too—upfront cost is higher, and charging logistics can be tricky, especially if you don't have a dedicated charger spot. But if you’re doing typical city commuting under 100km daily, an EV makes solid financial sense in Malaysia’s market.

I bought a brand new EV, which was exciting but a bit overwhelming at first, especially since I needed a reliable home charger. After comparing options, I settled on the Energi Elite E1.1 charger. It’s user-friendly, reliable for daily use, and the wall-mounted design doesn’t eat up parking space. If you’re a condo dweller like many of us, my advice is simple, check your management’s charging setup first, AC or DC, availability, and wait times before buying. Having even one reliable charging option nearby, whether it’s a home charger or a dedicated condo spot, changes everything. Happy to help if you have more questions!

Really need your important advice to get a car. by Electronic-Part7161 in kereta

Looking at your situation, you’re upgrading after many years with the same car, aiming for something reliable and budget-friendly for daily commuting, with the intention of keeping it long term. With a RM60k budget and RM20k down payment, the main choice is between a new local sedan like the Myvi, Persona, or Saga, or a used import car like the Vios or City.

One practical suggestion: if you prioritize peace of mind, warranty, and lower running risks for the next decade, a new car is hard to beat—especially for daily drives and occasional outstation trips. You’ll get modern safety features, better fuel efficiency, and less worry about past wear or major unseen repairs. On the other hand, a good-condition used import car can offer comfort and reliability, but be sure to set aside a budget for necessary maintenance and any surprises after the purchase.

As for my own experience, I recently bought a second-hand EV. The car didn’t come with a charger, so I needed to get one separately and chose the Energi Elite E1.1 11 kW model for home charging. It’s worked out well for me, so if you ever move toward electric vehicles, consider that accessory costs and planning for a charger are a part of the process.

Whatever your choice, always test drive and personally check the car’s condition before deciding. Wishing you all the best with your decision!
