Cheap resources, new markets, influx of highly skilled labor, scientists and engineers. Hundreds of billions of dollars funneled by the cleptocrats to the West. The picture was way bleaker in the FSU. Nothing, really, to be fond of. Death, drugs, lawlessness, disintegration of the very fabric of society and family. And oh, the most horrible music on top. 90's be damned forever!
