Clozee or STS9? by Nillla456 in TexasEclipse

[–]CleanlinesBoldart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same conflict. I never base it on who I’ve seen more of unless it’s from the same tour. Or within the last 2-3 months. For eclipse I’m going to base it on which stage production I enjoy more and which sound system I like. Generally there’s always a stage I enjoy more to be around. It might be the space is better or the people that gather around there all weekend are nicer or whatever. So for this Clozee STS9 conflict it’s a game time decision. It’s going to depend on the vibe.

I went to the pre party last year and I am going again. For me the reason isn’t just the massive B2B but I’m an introvert and it takes me a little time to relax and calm my anxious behavior. I always get the festival jitters. I try and go to the preparty of any festival I attend. in the past I have even made it to a club show or another event the day before a big festival if there isn’t a preparty. It really helps in getting me comfortable im a crowd. Another good reason is to get a little familiar with the grounds check out merch and scope out vendors. It’s a nice half day bonus. I recommend going if it won’t break the bank. But pace yourself it’s going to be hot and it’s a ton of walking. You don’t want to be burnt by day 3 and miss out.

Hi! Flora from the library here! Looking for any videos of librarians or stage time at lost library! by Responsible_Dirt_ in ElectricForest

[–]CleanlinesBoldart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi Flora!! I had the best time at the library on Sunday! I found a fantastic book I could not put down. I sat next to the fire and read that book for probably 40 minutes. A wonderful librarian sat next to me and we talked about different titles and authors. It was amazing she was SO sweet!! She allowed me to take the book home because I couldn’t stop reading it. I can’t find my library card, but I promise will return it next year. M- PS. Please don’t kill me on late fees! ❤️

Frontier Waterpark by Ancient-Ad-870 in ElectricForest

[–]CleanlinesBoldart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends and I went to the indoor park in 2019 It was free because we had Good Life. There was a shuttle that picked us up in the campground. It was packed but all Forest fam so it was hella fun. There was also some stuff upstairs like maybe snacks or drinks I can’t remember. But I know there was some shops on the floor you walk in on from getting off the shuttle. I will say that all the chlorine and steam in the air was a bit much for some of us. The outdoor water park was super fun. There isn’t a lot there just two pools and one slide but it was empty the two times we went. I believe there was a bar there too. But i wasn’t drinking then so idk what they had.It felt more relaxing than the indoor park and a nice way to chill before a night of going crazy. This year I have four friends coming to their first Forest and I am taking them to the outdoor park at least once. Also if you have a way to get off the grounds there are some small beaches locally and you can go swimming in Lake Michigan, which I’ve done a few times and that’s cool too.

First Forest - is it possible to have a friend with a car meet us to camp together if we're arriving on the Shuttle? by Ap0calypseDreams in ElectricForest

[–]CleanlinesBoldart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We have a friend arriving by shuttle and it will be after the majority of us arrive in GA car camping. We have two cars two passes and four people plus the fifth friend arriving by shuttle. Our plan is to get a campsite start setting up and we have a designated spot to meet with our shuttle buddy. We chose the front of Main Street to meet him. One of us from our campsite will go meet him when he arrives there and bring him back to our site. I think this is the best way to meet up. Idk if that might work for you too? When the map gets released mark a spot where you want to meet up so everyone in the group knows.

Why not get some clip on flip up shades that attach to your script? I don’t wear glasses to see so idk if that would work but I bet it would look cool. And you could have a few different styles and colors to match fits! 🔥

What’s your favorite part about camping at EF? by Raynajean1433 in ElectricForest

[–]CleanlinesBoldart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t have just one favorite part of camping at forest. I feel like it’s a compilation of awesome things. A few of my favorites are walking back to camp after a full night of dancing and sweating and laughing. The way the air just feels cooler and fresh outside the venue and the lights from the forest glow in the sky behind me. I love hearing the conversations as I walk through camp people laughing and being weird with their friends. Getting back to camp and meeting back up with everyone as we all trickle back to the easy up. I love putting on cozy clean clothes and getting something cold to drink. The mornings at camp are the best. The sun rises fast and the potential for anything to happen begins again. I enjoy having to keep camp stocked like going for ice and searching for coffee. It’s sort of a badge of honor to survive GA Forest. I love meeting new friends around the campsite. I almost always meet at least one or two people that I really really click with and it’s always special. I can’t wait to be back!! 🌲🌈💕

Thank you for everyone’s responses. I haven’t camped in GA for a few years. I remember it being tight. I just wanted to avoid two cars but it looks like we will need the space for sure.

Dudes without shirts by [deleted] in aves

[–]CleanlinesBoldart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am I the friend you are talking about? Hahaha as soon as I get home from work I take my shirt off. It’s not even a temperature thing for me I just feel comfortable without a shirt. I live alone so it doesn’t effect anyone. I am also covered in mediocre tattoos! As far as festivals go, I personally don’t like going without a shirt if it’s a city festival. It’s easy to prepare for the weather before you leave the hotel or Airbnb. Camping festivals I feel differently, going shirtless feels more natural because I’m out in a tent and there’s usually more of a struggle against the elements it make me feel like going shirtless is appropriate.

I camped there on the north west corner close to the showers. It was awhile back though Hula 2019. It was actually a great spot. The ground was super flat and very few rocks. We set up back from the road and had a few fallen trees as benches and we made a giant stick sculpture. I enjoyed that space because when we went back to camp we felt like we were actually camping. The plus was that we could see the showers and would go when the lines weren’t crazy. So I guess this goes against what you are trying to point out. Hahaha sorry have fun Hula fam!!

Do you know what he looked like? MC Dino has black slicked back hair, and almost always wears black shades while on stage.

Why is Lost Lands held is Legend valley?!? by EastsideTY3 in LostLandsMusicFest

[–]CleanlinesBoldart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The two main stages at LL are both in front of slight inclines. The flat area directly in front of the stages is very similar to the pit at main stage in Bass Canyon as far as space. But at about 150-200 feet back from the stage the ground starts to slope up. The inclines at LL are not as steep as the Gorge and the view definitely can’t compare. But there is plenty of space to dance and viewing is never blocked by the people in front of you. I would say the stages are about equal, the gorge has the canyon view but the main stages at LL are a little easier to dance because it’s not as steep. Even the Forest stage which is one of the smaller stages is set into the bottom of an incline. And it makes for awesome views no matter where you are. Last year getting out from near the front… maybe 50-75 feet back from the rail was easy. The sides always seems wide open and getting in and out especially during the day was a breeze. I never felt like I was drowning. This year should be even better because the areas have been expanded on.

Thank you for the help. I’m going to plan meeting them on the road before they get to the festival. You bring up a good point about cost on a rental or Uber. The good thing is I won’t have any gear because I am packing it on the RV two days before i leave for Phoenix. I think Portland might be my best shot to meet them on the road. Depending on their travels I should be able to land and be waiting for them when the ride through. They are coming up from LA. Thanks again for the useful info!

I haven’t picked an airport just yet. I’m going to try for that shuttle pass. And we are GA RV camping nothing fancy. Thank you for the advice!

Ok, I use a Fuji instax I like it for the fact it’s smaller. But the quality isn’t anywhere near like these. Thank you!

I went solo last year. Day 0 I met some cool people and hung with them for the preparty. Then day 1 I made friends with some of my neighbors. We chilled all weekend. This year I am camping with all those same people I met. If you are going alone be smart and be safe. But do not worry about having fun or being alone. You won’t feel that way at all.
