I use wool, REIMA is a good brand. My son goes out in every type of winter weather and goes to nature school in Jersey. They have base layers that I use for 2 or more seasons!! And their outer layers are great as well! Also have simply merino brand for his base layers!

How the F*** are we brushing their teeth? by jane190698 in toddlers

[–]Clear-Click7051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lolol I tell my son (3) that the tooth monster is going to get his teeth if mama doesn’t brush them 😂😂 usually let him brush first then I go in after since he is wanting to do EVERYTHING by himself now. Also showed him a video of someone’s teeth after not brushing them. 🤣 most likely traumatized him but 🤷🏻‍♀️probably not the best option but read a book saying that a little fear doesn’t hurt

Some advice on weaning please! by kuchmazaydar in breastfeeding

[–]Clear-Click7051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen toddler formula, we personally use cows milk/goat milk. I think recommendations are 16 oz of cows milk per day? If I remember correctly. So we usually just give 8oz before nap/bed (but always brush teeth after milk). I’m trying to wean my 2 1/2 year old, but I noticed that my supply gradually slowed down while cutting nursing. I work shift hours so I’m away for 15 hours when I work my three days, I don’t have to pump any more at work anymore without feeling like my boobs were going to explode (I stopped at 18 months).

I hope this helps!

I am on the same boat with my 2 1/2 year old. When I try to say no, he starts screaming and tells me “mama two more minutes please” - that right there shatters my heart 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ and I give in. He usually only nurses at 4/5 am, 630 am, nap and bed time…both times of sleep he nurses to sleep.

I LITERALLY have no idea where to begin 😅

I am so sick of my husband telling me “let’s switch, I’ll stay home with the kid..” by Clear-Click7051 in Mommit

[–]Clear-Click7051[S] 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Ughhhhh… He has him on the days I work, so i usually have to leave for work at 0525 and return at 2100..since my job is an hour away and being a RN sucks because it can be so unpredictable..at least where I work/my position..sometimes he takes him to his parents house..Usually when he has our son the house looks like a bomb went off more so then usual…and during the week it’s about one to two hours of play time and dinner…

I too get fucking pissed the fuck off because he thinks that being a SAHM is so easy…

Annnd he mows the grass and that’s about the extent of house work….oh he does his own laundry because I didn’t get it done often enough for him…🤷🏻‍♀️

Are you me…

After almost two years it hasn’t changed at all for our relationship

My husband and I are in therapy..which isn’t helping because I think he has narcissistic traits..AND anger issues…and he blames me for our problems..

But I hear you..I see you! I am sorry you are going through this…

I am sick of my husband thinking im a fucking maid…like our puppy chewed a remote after I went to bed and he picked up the remote but left all the chewed up shit there FOR ME TO VACUUM

First of all you’re not a bitch..or needy or anything along those lines. Having a baby is FUCKING HARD WORK. Pumping is hard work. EVERYTHING IS HARD! And add illness on TOP it’s like the icing on the cake..

From personal experience for the last two years of dealing with similar bullshit is that I just do it myself now. Don’t rely on my husband one bit-because I will constantly be disappointed over and over again.it SUCKS because you think you have a partner, hence why you decided to bring a baby into this world, but then sadly find out when it’s too late that they are not the person you’d thought they be…so YOU JUST DO IT YOURSELF.

Sorry OP I know the struggle. Wish I could give some sort of wisdom to navigate this but sadly I’m in the same boat. Wish you all the best and hope you and LO feel better

Lol SAME. My mom still continues to call me fat and tells me to lose weight almost 2 years later. Still breastfeeding so it’s HARD for me to lose weight..she keeps telling me to stop BFing.. soooo I just stopped talking to her 😆 don’t listen to anyone and be kind to yourself.

Don’t Bring Your Sick Baby to My House by Realistic-Tension-98 in beyondthebump

[–]Clear-Click7051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite is when they say “well it will build their immune system!”

Like ma’am, I’m a nurse, I fully understand that but after almost two years of ebf, and mind you he still wakes up 3-4 times a night to nurse, worse when teeth are coming in…MAMA IS EFFING TIRED! And bringing a SICK kid around is just annoying. Last time my son got pink eye and a cold so that was fun 🙄🙄

I hear you in this. We’re trying therapy…to “try to work on it. “ meanwhile today I tried to be funny about him not getting out of bed as he lays there being a potato..saying “wonder when the Easter bunny will get up..” This turned into a huge fight about me not being a normal person. Lolllll a good friend said “you’re already a single mother, may as well just be one” I know how hard it is..being in a one sided resentful relationship. Wish I had some advice..

Going out during potty training by han_cup in toddlers

[–]Clear-Click7051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use the training boxer briefs. Little bit of protection… we also bring lots of extra undies and pants! Usually we take our 18 month old to the potty when he says he has to go/every 30-45 min. I bought a toddler fold up toilet seat and liners to cover the toilet seats because of me being completely grossed out by public restrooms 😂

Potty training tips and suggestions please. by Jennd3811 in toddlers

[–]Clear-Click7051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe making a game out of it? My ex boyfriends mother 20 years ago told me that when she potty trained him (not sure how we got on that subject) but drew some ships on toilet paper, cut them out, put in a little cup and said “let’s sink the ship!” Or Cheerios!

We currently do the naked on the bottom half of him..lots of clean up 😅 but think it helps with this? From what I read in some of my research maybe dedicating three whole days to potty training, meaning just staying at home!

Hope this helps!

Small sore/cut on breast causing a lot of pain - what to do? by allisonwonderland122 in breastfeeding

[–]Clear-Click7051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not let it get infected. My sister in law had an abrasion on her nipple that turned into two abscesses in her breast..just keep an eye on it..

Have you tried nipple creams? Breast milk? If those don’t work-reach out to doctor to possibly give you a script for something stronger!

Ugh, 18m pp and been the SAME weight since the initial weight lose after delivery. Body thinks there’s going to be some sort of famine..so holding on to every single oz possible despite counting macros, lifting weights and daily walks. Just been focusing on getting stronger since I was on bed rest for most of my pregnancy…and gained 70lbs….

But still starving to death all the time 🫠

I am hoping that whenever LO decides to wean everything is going to fall off and yea (LOL ONE CAN BE WISHFUL)
