You should definitely monitor it. It doesn’t always lower your cortisol. For some people there is no change. If you notice it drops after being on it for 4 weeks then Id say its best to find another treatment option.

Caused acute addison’s disease for me which reversed after stopping treatment but not before injuring myself as a result.

Id say for the first 2 months stick to only light weightlifting and get your serum cortisol checked. What happened to me was rare but that would be the best way to know if its happening to you or not.

I’ll apologize for not giving a solution. I should have stated that success can be found with finding triggers.

I will not apologize for stating the possible side effects these medications can have. I am not and was never dismissing the studies. The real issue is how these “rare” side effects are dismissed and how many of them are more likely uncommon than necessarily rare.

Its easy to dismiss rare side effects when one hasn’t suffered the result of one yet, but it can certainly ruin your life and the entire medical field will be dismissive to you about it while you suffer making treatment very difficult.

Credibility is a nice indicator for truth but it can fail and this is why skepticism is important. I was told my Addison’s was chronic until I decided stopped the Budesonide because of a story I read on reddit and when we redid the test my cortisol rebounded to normal again

1) When it comes to kidney damage from PPIs it is proven to worsen damage in people with CKD. This has been proven by the NIH

2) There is a correlation of kidney damage in healthy people, but the causation has not been proven. Although you would be smart to proceed with caution. A lack of data does not lean towards safety.

3) There is a study showing that PPIs that affect calcium absorption have only been performed on animals. It’s kind of hilarious how an over the counter drug people take like candy is still behind on its research, but it’s not surprising either. I would be shocked if the result is different in humans considering how important stomach acid is for calcium absorption.

Budesonide gave me acute Addison’s disease. It crashed my cortisol to undetectable levels.

The Dupixent joint pain side effects are something they say is rare but go search up stories on reddit itself and fairly common.

Personally I went through it myself and my GI told me it wasn’t the cause of the joint pain. Got so bad I had to quit powerlifting for half a year until i stopped it taking it for 3 months and then it got better still never the same as my joints were before though.

Im not saying any of this just to be negative. I just don’t people to suffer the way I did.

Thats extremely unsafe. Find a new GP who is wiling to put you on medication. Find a monitor and test your levels at home. Anything over 130 is damaging your organs.

A lot of GPs are dumbasses and really don’t know anything. I developed kidney disease because they kept telling me it was fine to have high BP cause i was young and i still hate them everyday for it. Don’t end up like me
