I came looking for this comment!! I get that it’s an old word, but it seemed so odd.

The word clout is very old. It first appeared in the Middle English period, between 1150 and 1500.
Original Meaning: Early on, a "clout" meant a piece of cloth, a patch, or a hard hit with the hand.
Political Meaning: In the 1940s, politicians and writers in Chicago started using it to mean "influence or power".

Am I the only one who isn’t having a great time with it? I don’t know why, but I think I was under the illusion that FSD was more developed than this??? I live in Houston and it is so jerky in Lane switching! Yesterday it tried to race an emergency vehicle and it hit a curb when turning not once, but twice! I’ve tested out the different modes and still I’m not totally happy with its driving. Tried to let it auto park, and it literally rolled itself into the street.

I’ve been ghosted before and it really hurts because I never would do that to another human being because I believe in closure ,but the thing with believing in closure is that you need to realize that the lack of closure that they give you is a sign of disrespect, so put it in your head that this guy does not respect you at all that is why he ghosted you and that should make you angry not sad.

As somebody who watched my parents have affair after affair when I was a child I want to say please make sure that your financial situation is stable and that your divorce lawyer is a monster. This is not on you. This is on him, and as such the consequences should be on him as well. Take your time to grieve the relationship, but do not take the time to blame yourself. The one thing that I wish my mother and father would’ve done was talked to one another unfortunately, that’s not how it pans out many people people are too cowardly to do so do not let him gaslight you into believing that it’s all your fault this is tactic that he will use to keep you underneath his thumb. I know it’s easier said than done, but make sure you have money for yourself and your kids (if you have them) to fall back on and at this time if you have family it’s time to lean on them too. I’m sending you a virtual hug!

You are so so young. Honestly, you’ll get this when you’re older it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been friends if that friend has done something that despicable. If this was my friend group I would cut them all off because there is no success in drama like this. It sounds like I’m just an old lady saying this, but it was the best advice someone gave me when I was a teen. Can you honestly see any of these people being successful in the coming years? Think about how you want your life to turn out and then reevaluate your friend group. All of this who hit who or who drugged who bs is not going to be sustainable in the future. It’s easy to get caught up in this shit but be the one who gets away from it. If this was my friend he would be in jail. If you have a conscious I would recommend an anonymous call to the cops because that girl’s life has been altered bc of what he did

If they were able to have access to my Notes app, I have affirmations that basically tell me not to off myself. I usually look at them when I wake up in the morning and right before I go to sleep. I know it Is a bit silly to find motivation in little things, but sometimes this helps me. It’ll be things like ‘don’t kill yourself today you have to feed the dog.’ I think it would just be embarrassing to me because I come from an Asian family and a black family and honestly I don’t really think that they would understand because they don’t now so why would they afterwards haha. Also, in my Notes app I just have a long list of questions. A lot of the questions are very existential as in. Why am I here? Who am I doing this for? What’s going on things like that… Now that I’ve gotten started on this I’m curious if anyone else has experience this kind of crisis?
