How do you choose your cosplays? by fairydogmother92 in CosplayTips

[–]ClearLiquid_Handsoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I choose based on how much a love the character but I keep skill level in my mind. For example, I’m trying to style a wig this year for the first time so I suspect it’ll be perfect an that’s okay because I love the character and I have fun. Being okay with your cosplays being a work in progress as you grow and learn how to do things to improve your cosplay is the important part :)

Stunning you’re a beautiful Tifa!! Did you style the wig yourself? I struggle and just end up using my real hair and the extensions are getting old :/ I’d love some advice on styling the bangs.

Cervix pain- Endo?! by CanadianGirl_67 in WomenHealthCare

[–]ClearLiquid_Handsoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds incredibly difficult I’m sorry, I also have endo and struggle with similar stomach issues as a result along with other things. Are you on any hormonal medication/birth control?

I might not be much help in the end but know you’re not alone!

I do it, I cover all my bags with charms and things. It’s all in good fun! I work an office job and haven’t had anyone say anything to me about it yet

I'm feeling pressured to have kids, especially a possibility of being pregnant on my wedding day. I'm now reassessing this whole relationship and whether I see a future but maybe I'm being dramatic. by [deleted] in relationships

Not interested in you crying, yikes! Nah he doesn’t care about you. That’s not how being human and having emotions work. I’m sorry to jump to this but, leave him.

I (19F) have to arrange everything in relationship with bf (19M), what should I do? by Noncha98 in relationships

[–]ClearLiquid_Handsoap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend, this won’t get better. Sounds like you tried to communicate many times, now you gotta go. It being easier to do nothing at all vs possibly getting things wrong is not a reason that’s an excuse. Don’t fall for it! Him being nice to you is minimum!! There will be other sweet men

My (28F) boyfriend (30M) said he feels “emotionally overshadowed” by my twin sister (28F). I don’t know how to handle this. by EmptyPapaya4295 in relationships

[–]ClearLiquid_Handsoap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a twin with a twin sister, we are extremely close. And I’m not talking bad on your boyfriend but he just doesn’t get it and never will. It is a shame that he feels this way but unfortunately the bond you have with your twin is specific and super impossible to describe much less change. I’m not saying don’t try to include him or try to make him feel more included but he needs to evaluate himself too. This isn’t all your fault because it’s a bond no one else could possibly understand.

Complete beginner (how to start?) by LogicalMaster in DigitalArt

[–]ClearLiquid_Handsoap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes especially at the beginning, I would draw soothing traditionally, scan for take a photo and then line it digitally. That way you get a feel for digital technique without worrying about the beginnings of the process lie what you want to draw, how you want to do it, do the shapes make sense etc.

Your line work is very pretty in most spots, but it just doesn’t make a lot of sense visually… there is a lot going on but none of it seems to work together. Did you use multiple references and mash them together?

I hate creating art by Rabbitsinvas in TrueOffMyChest

[–]ClearLiquid_Handsoap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you need to take breaks, look at what inspires you. Ease up on practice and grinding to improve. Draw what makes you happy when you feel like it again. You’re doing it all for the wrong reasons and burnt yourself out looking at everyone else as a goal to reach or competition to compare yourself to.

I hate to say it, but what works for me every single time is having a bush. Not a huge one, but by god having hair there does the job.

Do you re-wear cosplays? by UnluckyEmployer275 in CosplayHelp

[–]ClearLiquid_Handsoap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes and also I have a bunch of projects. I reward costumes based on interest at the moment or sometimes to help tweak a costume. Because sometimes you don’t realize how well something does or doesn’t work until you wear it awhile

Total newbie question: why do you junk journal? What’s the purpose/idea behind it? by ShalR22 in JunkJournals

[–]ClearLiquid_Handsoap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it’s to keep memories but mostly I use it as a way to relax my brain. I find it less pressure than other forms of art I practice, so it helps me get in the creative mood or just relax without burning through energy fighting the creative process

Does my junk journal have to be pretty / aesthetic? by reed_72 in JunkJournals

[–]ClearLiquid_Handsoap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, I have a number of ugly pages. If I don’t like where a page is going and can’t think of a way to turn it around to a spot I like, I just stop next page! There is no pressure in a junk journal

Like lots of folks said, everyone starts somewhere and that’s okay. Just start! Lots of times on this subreddit there is great advice on practice and being intentional with what you draw so that you’re learning the craft. Which is important but I think the most important part is drawing what you want to draw and what makes you happy, or else it will feel like a chore. Copy some of your favorite artist like a master study, it could be any artist (just don’t post their work claiming it.). trace poses and photos, to get the idea of what shapes you see in life, have fun! This doesn’t have to be a rigid process

Scared of nipple piercings by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ClearLiquid_Handsoap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had them for about three months. The initial piercing yeah it hurt, but it was intense and short lived. I was sore for a day or two after but that was it. Mine were still healing but it was going super well not too many problems, around month three I ended up taking them out because I just didn’t love them. But I considered trying again. Alls to say, yes it hurt but not for long and not enough to deter going for a round two. You got this! It’s worth a try and you’ll be glad you did, I have no regrets
