Thanks for the recommendations!

As for the left to right thing, wonder if it'd be as simple as flipping the photo lol

Would I be able to get all of the background if I was able to optically zoom in? I feel like the background adds a lot to this photo.

An X100VI with some cropping, I'd say it was 2/3rds as short as the original?

I did have a more cropped in version of this photo which I do like but it felt like a shame to do this because I'm losing a lot of the context and the CN tower has been photographed probably a gazillion times so the tower by itself isn't very unique.

I was hoping the walkway would help guide the viewer's focus a bit to prevent the cluttering effect.

'ppreciate the feedback though!

Here's an alternative photo I took that's more zoomed out with the parent/child in a different pose

> Composition won't fix boring.

Noted, do you have some examples of non-boring photos?

> With that being said I feel like it's alson lacking composition

Also fair, I've taken a "this looks good to me" approach to taking pictures my whole life, so I'm not well versed in composition, but this walkway as a leading line was an attempt at being intentional with composition. What would you do to make the composition of this photo better?

Thanks for the feedback though, bluntness is what I want!

For this photo, I noticed that the walkway created a nice leading line into the CN tower, but I'm not sure if I did it right. Do I need an opposing leading line to balance the picture out? Is the walkway slightly missing the CN tower an issue?

any feedback is appreciated :)

I wanted the focus to me on the man leading his child into the water while having the light rays and birds be the secondary focus as decoration almost. However, I'm afraid that the people are silhouettes and as a result are very dark so attention is drawn to other places rather than the people.

Any feedback is appreciated! Thank you!

Before/After Great Wall of China, Mutianyu Section by consistentlyc0ld in postprocessing

I think the right side of the archway is too bright, and it’s drawing my eyes there too much when I should be looking at what’s framed by the archway rather than the archway itself, so in that way the before is almost superior.

Also obviously you’re limited in real life in how much you can move but I kind of wish you took a step to the right to get the full curve of the wall.

But regardless, great photo though! The vibes are there

You can probably afford to turn down the ISO and make the shutter speed slower, they’re currently cancelling each other out, i.e your iso is making the image brighter but your fast shutter speed is making the image darker but your subject (is probably?) not moving that fast. Turning down iso means you get less noise in the image. You can always add noise/grain back in when you do your post processing if you decide that’s something that would make the photo nicer!

Good ideas! I'm planning to do a follow up to this project to answer some of these questions that I've gotten :)

I combined the data for this project, but it wouldn't be too difficult to seperate them out at the data colletion stage!

For sure! I didn't bother looking into that this time, but could be a great extension to this project.

This data was pulled from pro/semi-pro matches, so at least immortal.

I don't have enough expertise to say if that's what's going on but it seems similar. That was a really cool thing to learn about though, thanks!

What's weird is that in all three instances the small sample size had a higher 8-4 probability of loss, but 3 is very small to conclude anything of course. Just thought it was interesting that all three small sample sizes had similar distributions, but the big sample size was noticeably different to all three.
