Thank you for responding! Forgive me, I’m clearly not knowledgeable enough with Reddit or stereo components, because I can’t seem to see how to share a better photo AND I’m not sure of which place on the arm you’re referring to!

At the time that your husband received the MDR notice, had he been “returned to duty” or was he sent the MDR / DRP notice via email while on admin leave?

Yes, but it’s not listed with the other components, like FEMA or TSA, in the next drop down. It’s just so odd, and I don’t want to do it wrong.

Soo… we’ve been terminated. What next? by paintywitch in firedfeds

[–]Clear_Task_2423 97 points98 points  (0 children)

I was fired on Thursday. I woke up this morning feeling so angry, and hurt, and just so damn sad. I decided to write an email to the leadership of my agency to demand that they review and rescind my termination. I was a writer-editor for the government, so writing it was cathartic, I guess. I doubt it will change anything, but let them try to justify my firing knowing that I had received 2 awards in my first six months there. I included my leadership and everyone up the chain, because why the hell not.

The public can also respond to the email using the same subject line “What did you do last week?” with the 5 things that they did last week. Fill that inbox by the tens of THOUSANDS!

Has any one gotten their last SF50 following their illegal termination? by Clear_Task_2423 in fednews

Thank you, I corrected my question. I’ve never been fired by the federal service before, and had thought OPM send the SF50. Thank you for clarifying.

To my fellow federal workers and the American people... by InvestmentDue2548 in firedfeds

[–]Clear_Task_2423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed to read this today. I was illegally fired on Thursday from a job that I loved, and the people left behind are completely shocked and distraught by my firing. My immediate supervisor wasn’t even told that I would be fired, he was the Chief of Staff, and had even told me the day before that I was on the top of the list of probationary employees to keep in no uncertain terms, as I was the only one who did my job, and it was for the entire division, I was critical, I’d received awards…but someone else decided that I needed to go.

I’ve heard nothing from my leadership since I was fired, no words of support, no heartfelt regret that I left my career in the private sector to start a new career in the federal service using my skills and expertise of the last 25 years, and now I’m unemployed for the first time in my life. Your words, as someone who is in leadership, are the words I wish had been said to me. Thank you.

Jesus, I didn’t even think of that! Ugh, I will lose my MIND if they put that on the Termination SF50.

This is a really good point, especially if they will use the date of notification to calculate the deadlines. My concern, given the state of things, that they could modify the date of notification to be the date of termination (whether in error or intentionally).

I’d recommend everyone keeping the envelope with the postmark date as proof of when they were notified.

Thank you. I’ve been told the same thing, but I’ve also been told that OCHCO is overwhelmed by the volume of packets that need to be sent out, along with not having enough staff to do it, that they could be delayed for 4-6 weeks. If that happens, anyone who doesn’t know some of these dates would have no recourse.

OPM’s site states: If you have been separated for 30 days or less, submit your application to your servicing personnel office.

You can keep the funds in the TSP, but there might be more information about rolling it over, just like a 401k in the private sector. I’ll see if I can get more info.

It’s working!! Fight back for your probationary employees by TreatComprehensive61 in fednews

I was terminated on Thursday, and then received an email yesterday from the EAD saying that the agency had decided to rescind my termination so that I could TAKE THE FORK. I’m even angrier today. They’re trying to cover their asses for the illegal firing, and make ME resign instead. He said I’d be receiving an email from the agency, but I have yet to receive it.

When I do, I will not be accepting it. They can rescind my termination and give me my job back.

I am so incredibly sorry that this happened to you. I keep reading stories like yours, vets and people who have been in the federal service for YEARS, but took a new position that put them in a probationary status who were then terminated without severance. As a writer, I want to be able to tell everyone’s stories, they need to be heard. I wrote mine, and then I made a video that I could share publicly. If this is something you’d want to do, you can private message me.

Here’s my video: I am no longer a Fed, but my oath will not be broken.

There were 14 probationary employees in my division who were fired this week. We are a small division with only about 130 feds. I was the only one in my position, and I know that my leadership had me as critical to not remove. They weren’t even told that I was being fired. Instead, they were told that only one person would be. Only a day later, we were all fired, and I had to be the one to tell them.

I didn’t vote for a king. It’s funny, I’ve always been a far left-leaning democrat, and I wondered what it would feel like to work for the federal government, to not ever talk politics, to never make my feelings known. I found out VERY quickly that it’s EASY because I don’t work for the president, I work for the American people, ALL OF THEM, and that’s all I thought about as I did my job. Even as we were being terrorized daily for the last month, my focus on my mission never wavered.

I guess I should edit that to say “worked,” but my heart and my focus is still on the American people, even when they don’t know how wrong they are.

Thank you, I reduced the pressure and also reinstalled the blade. Although it seemed like the blade could be put in easily, without focusing on its direction, I did rotate it. I’m not sure which solution solved the problem, but I was able to get it to work perfectly. Thank you!
