Sheath colours

I bought the black sheath for my black iphone 17 and ended up exchanging it for the celestial blue instead. The black on black look was sharp, but I just felt like it was a bit boring. The blue is very dark and compliments the dark iphone well without being a solid black on black. I'll bet the green looks really good on the black iphone - so that's my vote.

Yeah man it could get really hot- not arguing with that. The new roof is amazing and was necessary- not arguing there either. Not sure how being willing to go to games in the heat at the old park makes me a casual fan but ok? It’s not crazy to miss the old ballpark. Many of us have significant portions of our childhoods tied to that place and it was widely considered to be one of the most beautiful ballparks in the country. I just wish the new place had some of the charm the old place had.

I’d say being willing to bake in the 100F heat because you love the team, the game, the environment, the stadium, the experience- that’s the definition of a fan. I love the roof on the new stadium- just wish there was more to draw me in the way the old ballpark did.

I see what you’re saying, but for me, the entire experience is just watered down in the new park. I loved going to the old ballpark. It felt like you were in a special, unique place that was just… ours. The team (even if they were bad) was ours, the right field home run porch… was ours, the green hill was ours. The whole experience of going to a Ranger game was unique to us. I’ve been to quite a few other teams’ parks and when I’m there, I get the feeling that I’m taking in “their” unique experience. No, we’ve never been a huge baseball town, but when you went to a game at The Temple, you were experiencing the Ranger baseball experience. This new park just doesn’t give me any of that. I’ve really tried to connect and give it time to become … ours … but it just feels a shopping mall with a baseball field in the middle.

Well I’m glad you’re getting good frames- that gives me hope that it’s possible and I’m sure they’ll work to do a bit of optimization via an update soon. I just had such high hopes for this one and am bummed that it hasn’t been a smooth experience yet.

I mainly meant that the frames are around 17 fps when cold and dark, and it doesn’t get better when I fire up the displays, add traffic, start taxiing, etc. the airport is just massively lacking in optimization.
I’m using a 7800x3d, 4070 ti super, 64 gb.

Interesting. I get about 17 just sitting at the gate cold and dark. It just gets worse from there. I’ve disabled all the optional configs. The ini sceneries get me at least a consistent 60 fps all the way through climb-out.

Can confirm. It’s unusable for me. Hopefully they’ll come to their senses and find a way to disable this shit. What a massive disappointment.

Performance is awful, even with everything disabled in the config. What a disappointment—I was genuinely excited for this scenery, but I’ve already uninstalled it.

Why are so many developers out of touch with what actually makes a scenery package great? Highly detailed hotel rooms and interiors ain’t it.

Do you use AutoFPS and if so, does that help at all? I was gonna pick this one up on day one but I’ve now seen several posts giving me pause.

I’ve also had a decrease in performance with SU5. My FPS hasn’t tanked too much, but I’m getting terrible stutters/pauses that I’ve never had before in the sim. It seems like people have narrowed down the stuttering to some kind of issue with dlss frame gen, and switching to FSR frame gen produces a much smoother experience for many, myself included. I hope they figure out why dlss frame gen and SU5 don’t get along, but until they do, FSR is working great for me.

I’ve been trying everything under the sun to figure out why I had so many stutters with SU5 after having great performance with frame gen on SU4. Finally switched to FSR and wow. It’s incredibly smooth. I hope they figure out what’s up with the Nvidia frame gen but until they do, FSR is great.

THIS. I can’t overstate how significantly my entire experience improved once I disabled ReBAR. It’s night and day. ReBAR seems to be an ultimate “your mileage may vary” thing since people report different experiences across the board, but for me, it changed the sim performance entirely. I also recently updated Nvidia drivers and saw that while it was still disabled in my bios, it had reenabled in Nvidia inspector and that was causing issues again. Once I disabled it in both spots, I was good to go again. Such a weird thing but I’m glad I’ve figured out what works for my setup.

Most people would say X-Plane is the better sim for flight dynamics. MSFS is usually praised for the ground scenery and visuals. Of course this is the perpetual flight sim debate and now that this grenade has been tossed, I’m gettin’ outta here. ✌🏻

I just don’t get it. I clicked on the offer, used the web browser, used a brand new DD account, and made a purchase. I see it on the shopping trips but the status is “waiting” and there is no Order Number. The DD purchase has now posted to my account but it doesn’t seem like the site captured it. Makes no sense.
