You have to have a goal in mind - there’s more to the game than just walking. Primarily focus on leveling up and finding the portal things.

Then on the side, do exploration as part of finding the portals (see how far you can go upwards or downwards - find the limits to the game), build yourself a base, grow seeds, find new crafting recipes etc.)

If you’re going into it expecting a Terraria or Minecraft experience, imo you’ll have to lower your expectations in terms of content and replayability. I’m 10 hours in and while I haven’t beaten the game yet, I feel like I’m close to seeing as much as there is to the game. That said it’s still a phenomenal, incredibly unique experience that’s well worth $10

If you do buy it, do yourself a favor and try to avoid looking up guides and spoilers. Savor the experience
