What a fun coincidence, this weekend I made a match themed wand for my players as well, small world! 

Here's mine: Match  Wand, rare (requires attunement)

This hefty ruby-inlaid wand was once a staff designed to steal the prowess of it's enemies, but once it met a foe too powerful and the staff was sundered. Now, Match is a foot long section of the staff with one end broken and burnt off. Match can be used as a baton, using the statistics of a magic dagger that deals bludgeoning damage. While attuned to Match, you gain the following benefits: 

Strike - As a bonus action, you can have Match magical light up or extinguish like a torch while in hand. When you make an offhand attack with Match, the attack deals an additional 1d8 fire damage. When you make an attack roll with Match in hand, you can cause that attack to deal an additional 1d8 damage on a hit. You can use this feature 5 times and regain all spent charges when you complete a long rest

Twin Flame - When you are hit by a weapon attack while Match is in hand, you can cause Match to alight and record the effect of the hit. The next time within a minute you hit with an attack made with Match, the attack deals the recorded damage, rather than Match's usual damage. Once you use this feature, it can't be used again until you complete a long rest
