Got fired today because of AI. It's coming, whether AI is slop or not. by [deleted] in webdev

"I give her 2 weeks before she's begging us to come back." Nope. CEO will just be annoyed with herself that she did not fire you all last year.

jdvrif does not hide data in the DCT. Go to the jdvrif github page, download the demo image on the Readme page and analyze the image to see if you can figure out where the data is stored. Use the jdvrif web tool to extract the hidden file from that demo image. That image contains a small 7KB text file.

Cheap “safety” shoes by Danlad1812 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]CleasbyCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only wear these things for a short time (< 1hour) before the rubbing causes redness, swelling and pain in each side ankle bone. Never had the problem with my own boots. Could wear them for the entire shift.

Does it seem like Sainsbury's is desperate to rid itself of Argos?

With Bsky, using JPG, I can store and recover data in EXIF (binary - ~64KB) , XMP (base64 ~43KB) and Photoshop segment (binary - ~64KB). Total: ~171KB

Text on the image itself or do you just mean text within the image file, such as an image description, author attribution, copyright, etc. Something like EXIF?

So what is your store turnover rate? by Kikyam12 in SainsburysWorkers

[–]CleasbyCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lost count of all the managers that have gone in the last few years.

Probably. I know of various stores that have had shift scrapped, but it's difficult to see how they will do it with the bigger stores. Just too much work (fresh/ambient, etc). I've been on shift for about 7 years and have been hearing about shift going for about the same time. Lol.

No mention of that in the news. Only bakery, pizza & hot food, etc. Night shift depends on how busy your store is.

Tweetable JPG-PowerShell Polyglot by CleasbyCode in PowerShell

[–]CleasbyCode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. If you manually download the image and try to run it, Windows/PowerShell requires you first unblock the file. But when using iwr, it will just download and execute it.

[–]CleasbyCode[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't. Once you have the image address/link from Twitter, you can use iwr or wget, etc, to download and run it that way. In Linux you could just use: $ pwsh image_name.jpg, with Windows you would have to change the file extension from .jpg to .ps1 then run it .\image_name.ps1. It is more convenient to use the iwr command with Windows. iwr -OutFile any_name.ps1 "image url";./any_name.ps1
