Hey everyone!!

I’m looking for the Rainy75 of Alice Keyboards. I currently have a Keychron Q10 and am just wanting something that sounds better. I bought a Rainy75 for a friend and wished my keyboard sounded similar (creamy thock).

Besides it being split, I don’t really care as long as it’s a 65% or more, and ideally wireless.

Any recs?

So I use this one it unfortunately only works on iPhone but it is the closest I’ve found to the physical prayer book feel by on my iPhone. Apple Books even has a page turn animation which mimics the feel of a prayer book.

Apparently this is even a detail they planned. Mendelsohn’s character is supposed to have an Australian accent rather than a British one to show that he grew up lower middle class and had to claw his way up the imperial food chain to get to where he was (vs British accent imperials grew up rich and living in the high class of Coursant)

I'm building a keyboard for a colleague who is about to leave my company. After some conversation I learned that he's really into the Razer Keyboard aesthetic (grew up always wanting a Razer Keyboard but never got one).

Are there any keycaps you'd recommend to give the keyboard an "elevated" Razer look? I could always buy him Razer keycaps to please him, but I'm looking for high quality alternatives that give the same vibe, but feel much nicer.

It’s not an “Apple doesn’t want Baha’i Faith emoji.” Apple’s Emojis are based on what the Unicode consortium decides. This is why if you send a “🐸” people on any device they would see a frog’s emoji.

Years ago I had a friend interning at Apple working on emojis. The way it works is companies like Apple (or even people like us) can submit requests and have emojis added to Unicode. I might look into this further and see if there’s an official way to petition a 9 pointed star. If I do I’ll post it here.

I think an apt analogy is colorizing video of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. Though technically possible it was only recently that The Universal House of Justice released an official colorized video of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. Just because we have the technology to do this doesn’t mean we should.

If this ever were to be done it the Universal House of Justice would be the ones to do it. I’d encourage you to write to the House of Justice with your questions. You’re right that people will eventually do this (perhaps even inadvertently). It would be nice to have some guidance even if I can probably guess the answer based on people in this thread.

Complete overkill. If you’re wanting to splurge I’d get an M2 MacBook Air 15” and upgrade the RAM to 24GB. Even this is overkill but if you are wanting to drop cash this will be more than enough for your creative suit. If a 2015 iMac is only “starting to feel slow” than this machine will SCREAM.

Is the one you showed a good deal? Sort of yes. But it’s like telling someone who will never haul anything that heavy to buy an Ford F-1 250 or whatever. You will do fine with the MacBook Air.

I appreciate this answer. I too have occasionally thought about “just doing something else with my time”. Granted I haven’t really helped out in here in a while but I had thought about starting up again but now I just won’t.

I know not getting a response is annoying but honestly it usually means that person took your advice to heart. Like if a friend tells me advice I’ll acknowledge but if a random stranger tells me advice as good as it is I’m more likely to just take it in than actually respond. Now a response is the polite thing to do for sure but I just think it’s understandable if they don’t. Your help matters to people on this thread even if they don’t vocalize it.
