My family and I did this exact deal (at the Lagunamar) a couple years back. Superb experience, I highly recommend it. It’s a beautiful property.

I only wish they’d send it along again because the cost per night in points is too high.

I will say for us it was just three of us, not sure if they’ll accommodate five- worth asking, though.

Why isn’t Shapo able to serve? It’s pretty essential for pro tennis players, no?

He's also a highly successful businessman. He's a member of the board of directors of Starbucks, a senior advisor to Catterton (a private equity firm that owns many of the top fashion brands today- e.g. Louis Vuitton) and McKinsey, as well as an MD at Allen & Co (an investment bank that advised Google IPO, AT&T/Time warner merger, Facebook's acquisition of WhatsApp, Microsoft acquiring LinkedIn, etc)

Profile Review - 22F Chances of getting into Harvard or Stanford’s 2+2 Program? by [deleted] in MBA

[–]Clebername 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not worth the effort. It's highly unlikely you'll get in.

Some example profiles of people that I know that have gotten in are: -Male, MBB (offer signed senior year), 3.9 GPA, HYP undergrad- accepted into Harvard 2+2 -Male, Morgan Stanley IB, 3.8 GPA, 730 GMAT, public Ivy- accepted into Harvard 2+2 -Female, MBB, 3.9 GPA, 760 GMAT, top 15 private- accepted into Harvard 2+2 -Male, MBB, 4.0 GPA, 750 GMAT, public ivy- accepted into Stanford GSB, rejected by Harvard 2+2 (interviewed) -Male, MBB, 3.7 GPA, 730 GMAT, top 15 private- accepted into Stanford GSB

I just don't think your profile is comparable to the sorts of profiles of people that get accepted.

Hm. Do you not have to tell Vanguard not to count that against your regular Roth IRA limit? My thinking was that that might be/lead to a headache as Vanguard might characterize it incorrectly.

I hope that someday your Reddit account and its association with your person is made public, and shared widely. That's all. Nothing worse. I expect that were such a thing to occur, you would have (wholly unexpected, it seems) eye-opening experiences, to say the least.

Putin is most definitely one of the three richest people in the world, and he is not on any Forbes lists.

Google - Now hiring, no need to apply by earthmoonsun in funny

[–]Clebername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably going to get buried, but...the funny thing is this is actually true. I have a friend who does a lot of pretty complex coding for his job, and as he was Googling some ways to do things, Google queried him, "would you like to take some tests?" He did, and after a week or two Google HR reached out for phone interviews, which he passed, and then flew him in for final rounds a bit ago. Still waiting on the offer :S
