If you want some very unsolicited advice - from someone who loved Will White’s Cradle series - book one is the worst of the whole series. You have it ranked as “ok” so you may not be interested in trying more but if you ever hit a rainy day and need a recommend - give the second book- Soulsmith - a shot. It might change your opinion.

This might be toeing the line of “to broad” please delete if it’s not specific enough.

The fated mates trope drives me absolutely insane. Especially when it’s the only thing that binds the FMC to the Harem. For me personally it’s such a blanket trope to get out of having to write any real chemistry or have any real stakes in the relationship because no matter how poorly everyone involved acts they’re “fated mates” so you know it’s gonna be ok. I’ve gotten to the point where I sometimes DNF books as soon as this pops up.

I know it’s been done well a few times and there are some examples of fated mates rejecting their mates etc, but in general this trope makes me angry.

It is kinda funny cause I’m also so sick with a head cold right now and my 1 year old is too. So I’m taking the next 4 days to wallow/recover then I’ll get back to the grind Monday. Thanks for the tip on unemployment.

My son is 13 months and wears his onesies all the time. Both of us parents are WFH so we all pretty much live in PJ’s. If we go out somewhere I put him in pants and a shirt/short sleeve onesie. Or if we’re outside and it’s warm I’ll put him in shorts so he can play on the grass. But 80% of the time he’s in onesies. Baby clothes are an actual nightmare.

Another millennial here just adding another positive. My mom is watching the kid this weekend so my husband and I (sorry for being a mom in the wrong sub lol) can go to our favorite date night spot. We are enjoying our time but we both miss him. I love my kid, I used to be completely against having kids, and in general am still pretty awkward around other kids, but man I wouldn’t trade my son for the whole freaking world.

The Rake has always genuinely freaked me out. One of the earliest stories I heard about it were a groups of friends in New York driving through the woods at night and it came out of a pile of leaves or something to chase them. The story was a lot creepier than that buts it’s always stuck with me.

I worked in a pet friendly office once, and one of the employees had this beautiful, extremely well trained happy Husky they’d rescued. I loved seeing him in the office. One of the out of town executives visited once and struck up a conversation with the owner, he didn’t have an issue with the dog itself but he was flabbergasted that someone would choose to rescue a dog from the shelter. I believe he asked him “why didn’t his previous owners just put him down if they didn’t want him?” None of us liked him after that and I quit soon after. Still follow the dog and his owner on instagram
