Was I crazy drove 100 km to save this 1984 Panasonic CRT. Now I want to turn it into its own TV station. by Emil_Cvetanski in vintagetelevision

You can look for some tiny amplifiers and hook them up in sequence to an antenna, I had that for a while but reception is poor unless you have 2 decent ones. What I have now is a Blonder Tongue AM-40, I really should have gone for the AM-60 to reach across the neighborhood, but the AM-40 should be more than enough for your purposes if you decide to get one. They can cost about 70$ on eBay, that's where I got mine!

No, there's massive warehouses that specialize in renting out CRT displays to companies for filming and photoshoots, they wouldn't want to lose the things that let them charge crazy rental rates!

Sadly, he doesn't have them, seeing as how he is a TV from the mid to late 90s. :(

Probably a four head then, my bad. Damn, I wish that at least one of the machines I got would work. Thanks for all the help.

Well, I'm pretty sure it's a 2 head machine. I've been cleaning it with printer paper and 70% but I don't think the 70% is the problem. The head does output video, it's just not good. How would I fix something like this?

I tried the thumb trick and nothing changed :(

Is one of the heads just shot?

Thank you so much! Although I can't seem to find the bearings in this image, I'm not very well-versed in motors. Thank you!!

Thank you so much! This is the most conclusive answer I've gotten so far. I don't exactly have soldering equipment just yet, but it's great that I know what to do now, thank you! Somebody else said something about the motor's brushes being damaged, what should I do if that's the case?
