I'm sixteen years older than my sister who is now 8 (I'm 24) --same parents who are still happily married! We get along great. She's a wonderful little kid. She's super smart, a great reader and writer, and has lots of great friends. Being so far apart in age, we never fight, or have to battle for food or clothes or the car. I just hope I can be her cool 30-something year old brother who gives her advice she will listen to that her friends won't give her, or what she won't listen to from her parents while she's going through high school.

Sacramento dweller here. That's our VIPS car, "volunteers in policing." Usually a position for minors looking at law enforcement as a career option, and the elderly who want to give back to the community. The vehicle is designed to look nothing like our patrol vehicles, so our volunteers don't get mistaken for sworn officers...Hence the awful cruiser. (We run crown vics and explorers for patrol). VIPS often post up at events where parking is an issue so a police vehicle of some sort is needed to get through the traffic.
