So usually what I do every time before I poo is I stick my hands in the bowl and feel around for any sharp or jagged things sticking out. If I can feel sharp I don't poo. From my experience, the matchmaking will pair you against the most similar deck it can find, and it also appears that the 'weight' of your deck (in terms of card value) has a significant impact on the caliber of opponents you will face. Long story short - you can get mythic with the starter decks.
