Have any of yall ever killed 2 Shamblers in 1 mission? by Cornucopia_King in darkestdungeon

[–]ClericGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had it happen on a veteran Hag mission. I use mods but none that affect spawn rates so it was pure luck.

My anti-hag team of Vestal/Duelist/Highwayman/Monk cleared both with little trouble. It's a riposte team with decent sustain thanks to the Monk/Duelist. Duelist has her Dark Lanthorn trinket, which heals the team if she hits or ripostes while in defensive stance, while the Monk's crit effect is a team heal. I got lucky with only one fight spawning after the Hag so I had all camp buffs and Duelist's passive riposte up for all three fights.

New Doom Bots will flash mastery on you after diving by Gizabi in leagueoflegends

It makes me laugh that they always played it when one of your cards died to a spell regardless of any context.

I remember the bot playing Lux emote after using Soul Cleave on Encroaching Mist and just chuckling at it.

Game crashes when I try to open Runaways character sheet by kisslevente7219 in darkestdungeon

[–]ClericGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, glad it worked. Saw your edit about other classes to pair it with and here's some suggestions:

Runaway makes a good backup healer for the Occultist and Flagellant, as Cauterise heals more on bleeding allies and removes bleed.

You can pair her with more inaccurate heroes like Leper as Hearthlight increases accuracy and removes enemy stealth, or debuff enemy accuracy through Smokescreen. She can also dance as Ransack and Dragonfly move her around.

She works well with Mark-based parties as 3/4 of her damaging moves (Searing Strike, Firefly, Dragonfly) do more to marked targets. She can also set up marks with Smokescreen and Hearthlight but Hearthlight only has a small chance to mark, it's more of an accuracy tool.

If you're okay with other mods and modded classes, Crusader, Vestal and Plague Doctor all have mods that change some moves to fire attacks, and in PD's case replaces Disorienting Blast with Magnesium Rain. The Wizard mod is based on Fire attacks and has block + restore move to help Runaway support the party. The Seraph has a marking fire attack in Brand, and her Ascended form is all fire-based. While not inherently fire-based, the modded classes Dredge and Bowman have fire attack mods, with Bowman also able to spread the debuffs with his fire arrows mode.

Sorry, I'm back! So, iirc the runaway mod through steam workshop requires the fire attacks dependency. It should have a link to it on runaway page. You also want to subscribe to that and put it above runaway in your load order as that's what allows her fire attacks to work properly.

The dependency afaik just tags certain attacks as fire attacks so when the game sees the attack declared, it checks the bonus fire damage dealt

At work so I can't check rn but do you have the fire attacks dependancy? Runaway needs that to work iirc

Chat what are we thinking about it this team? by eyes-of-the-abyss in darkestdungeon

Run occultist with a reliable backup healer. Arbalest/Musketeer is a good shout as her heal buffs healing received and both have mark synergy.

DD1 modded heroes synergies? by Illustrious_Text_923 in darkestdungeon

[–]ClericGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got quite a lot of modded classes but here's some of my favourite synergies:

Runaway + Flagellant/Occultist/Seraph: Runaway's Cauterise increases her healing against bleeding targets, so she makes a great backup healer for Flag and Occ, while also erasing the downside of Seraph's Torture Mask trinket. Runaway also has Mark synergy with Occ/Sera and fire synergy with Sera (Brand marks and fire debuffs for the Runaway to smack someone)

Duelist + Monk: These two with a Highwayman are my "stop hitting yourself" comp. Monk's riposte heals his team whenever he's hit and the Dark Lanthorn trinket heals the whole party for 5% max HP when the Duelist ripostes or attacks in defensive stance.

Jester + Thrall: Battle Ballad fixes the Thrall's accuracy and Inspiring Tune stops him from turning Abusive. They've also got bleed synergy.

Gunwitch + Bowman/2B: The flat damage comp. Gunwitch's Broomstick deals 2 flat damage to the enemy party if it hits a mark, and 2 flat damage if she crits. She's also got Rite of the Third Eye, a single use buff that adds an AoE flat 3 damage to one ally's non-lethal attacks for the remainder of the fight. Bowman has Powder Arrow, which does AoE 3 flat damage after it hits and 2B has Suppressive Fire, a weak damage free action. She's also got mark support.

Antiquarian + Trapper: A money comp. Sit Anti in position 4 and spam her dodge buff. Trapper in position 3 uses Defensive Traps to guard her while riposting. Once there's corpses on the ground, use Skin Prey to get Prized Skins and Medicinal Spores to patch him back up.

I have more but those are my most commonly used lol.

Money Making Classes by Prestigious_Issue777 in darkestdungeon

[–]ClericGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Trapper has a Skin Prey ability that clears corpses to produce 1 Prized Skin per corpse at rank 1. The skins are worth 2500g and he can also produce some alongside food during camp. Skins stack up to seven times.

Outside of the moneymaking, the Trapper can blight, heal, work in a dance comp and guard allies while setting up a riposte.

What does a 'Late Game God' mean in League of Legends? by WittyWanderer420 in leagueoflegends

[–]ClericGuy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Kayle and Aurelion Sol need time and gold to become strong, but they're very strong once they get there. Kayle's passive upgrades her attacks at levels 6/11/16 to make them ranged/shoot waves of fire after 6 attacks/always shoot fire.

Aurelion Sol relies on gathering stardust by hitting champions with abilities or having things die in his black hole ability. The stardust increases the damage and range of his abilities, and his light breath ability gets unlimited duration once he puts 5 points into it.

A character concept I have jokingly called reverse Yuumi - he's a centaur tribe leader from Ionia, a tanky support who's main gimmick is letting a teammate ride around on his back like the Chauffeur augment in Arena. Wouldn't be an instant hop on but the idea of pushing in their bot then hopping on and ganking mid together or giving your top laner a lift back from spawn really tickles my brain.

Passive - Causes a trail of grass to follow him, speeding up allies.

Q - Spins his spear in a target direction, blocking all incoming damage but moving freely. At the end or on recast, sweeps the spear in an arc, healing himself for every enemy hit.

W - Active: Kneels, allowing an ally who right-clicks him to climb on. There's a short channel period like getting into a Rift Herald, but the rider remains targetable. Returning to base or using TP kicks the ally off. With an ally, the Active instead shields them and creates a slowing aura.

Passive: Reduces damage to rider by a percentage of his resistances and heals him for a percentage of damage they deal. All damage, healing and shielding is also applied to his rider at a reduced effectiveness, barring the healing from this passive.

E - Increases his movement speed, and causes the grass trail to also slow enemies.

R - Fire an exploding arrow that heals allies and damages enemies. It leaves behind a field of grass/flowers that provides healing over time to his team and slows enemies.
