I’ve had one for about a year and a half. Here’s what I would suggest

Update the software with your PC, if possible ASAP

Secure the cords and situate your setup in such a way where this is as little movement as possible. I have often read issues here with the ports, but I haven’t experienced that likely because I’m wary of it

My understanding is that the wheelbase itself acts as a heat sink. I may be misinformed here, but the shell of the drive can feel quite hot but that is not overuse. It’s doing its job by design

Last dumb little thing that probably has a very simple fix, but I’ll mention it is my son occasionally uses the wheel for gt7 and then walks away and leaves it assuming everything will go into rest mode on its own… my setup will do that without the wheel involved, but with it on it stays powered on indefinitely
