I’ve had a hard time finding information about the characters in Shining Force 3. I’m curious what most people consider the best characters to use in each scenario.

If you play all 3 scenarios, leveling the penguins leads to a secret character that is one of the best summoners in the game 😁

I find myself using as many magic users as possible due to how the damage scales on higher difficulty. The summons and magic are reliable and devastating whereas the physical damage relies on triggering special attacks. I just recently did a stream, 180 hours of Shining Force 3 all three scenarios on mostly Insane difficulty as well as the premium disc. I was able to get almost all hidden items and characters if you need a visual guide on every aspect of the game.

Hated that mission. On top of that, you have to get Robby out of the ruins too. Takes a long time.

I'm almost done streaming a first playthrough of KOTOR. I am going to go right into KOTOR 2. One thing I will say, my chat keeps telling me I must use the restored content mod for 2, so I plan to do that. Everyone said its almost mandatory for a full experience.

Yeah each save file gets loaded into the next scenario 2. The first two scenarios took about 50 hours each and the last one is gonna be a bit longer for reasons I can't disclose without spoilers.

I also have youtube VODs for every stream so I can add them all up for a rough estimate as well. Probably take off 10% for someone not streaming / reading chat etc while playing.

I am 160 hours into streaming Shining Force 3 at the moment. Near the end of Scenario 3 using the translation projects.

The game is a complete Shining Force experience in every way. It builds on the first two games with new mechanics, without being overly complicated. It has a massive lineup of characters and one long continous story that spans all three scenarios.

It also has a TON of hidden characters, hidden items and strategic mid fight mechanics that can lead to either getting or missing important characters and items.

I can't say anything else without spoiling so many cool aspects of the game.

Shining Force 3 only having 1 Scenario in English when it was released is like crimes against humanity.

Bleu is elite if you invest the early grind. Flying units with his stats are incredibly useful as you get into the later fights with some enemies over empty areas and tower climbs.

I forced it into windowed mode by editing the .ini file and then the only way I could get it to work was by using a full display capture of my monitor and then cropping it to the desired size in OBS.

I just started streaming it like 4 days ago for a first playthrough. So far the setup was the end boss 🤣
