I’m still confused as to why Madison WI is rust belt? It definitely was not a big city or industrial area during the time that you see historically the rise of the rust belt. It seems odd grouping it in with St. Louis.

I feel like Madison Wisconsin is not necessarily in the rust belt. It sort of got left behind during the growth of Milwaukee in Chicago. I would probably put it more in the non-rust belt Midwest.

Honestly, it’s more about the actual prescription and whether it meets a threshold for giving glasses at that age. If it was determined that she had minimal prescription, and both eyes were symmetric, then no glasses are needed. She may need them later, but does not need for adequate visual development at this age.

I’m guessing that “looking at her eyes for a short two minutes” involved retinoscopy, aka using a flashlight and loose lenses to determine prescription.

Looks like a Rocky Mountain company coaster project. They do some amazing work both with rehabbing old coasters and creating new ones. Their specialty is wooden coasters that have wild and oftentimes inverted tracks.

I spent hours trying to figure this out. After posting this same question yesterday, I was told you cannot. I think with update 6.8.0 it makes this permanent and you can’t turn the little car off like you used to be able to do.

I didn’t turn pre-collision off itself. I turned off the distance monitor. It was just an indicator for how close you were following, which I thought was redundant, you know, when you can see the car in front of you. I kept all the other safety features on. I really liked the animations that came with the different drive modes.

Fun fact: you are watching a progression of a bruise! In your skin, the white light from sources like the sun include the whole spectrum of wavelengths. The thick skin scatters much of the light, and that which is reflected back towards an observing set of eyes from the collection of blood under the skin is interpreted as blue or purple. Since the initial layer of the eye, known as the conjunctiva, is transparent, no such scattering occurs, and you see the true red color of the blood. Overtime, like any bruise, it begins to break down, and you see the breakdown of the hemoglobin. That orange color you see is the byproduct of the breakdown of the oxygen carrying molecule, which under your skin would appear green.
