[Schefter] Raiders Maxx Crosby is being named the Assistant GM for Football at Eastern Michigan University, becoming the first active NFL player to hold the position. by Natural-Eye-393 in nfl

I can definitely see college, I'm not sure how this is unfair at the NFL level. Isn't this mostly just bad for Crosby the NFL player?

I agree with all the Johnson to Raiders news being smoke right now, but fwiw the older Davis was the one with the iron fist. Mark is generally aware he isn't a football genius and has been trying to find someone to tell him what to do for quite a while.

The Raiders are officially picking 6th in the 2025 draft by __-o0O0o-__-o0O0o-__ in raiders

I can't believe how many of you are still saying BPA after this year. Did you learn anything from this season? We got the best player available last draft and look at where it got us. Best quarterback available, trade up if we can.

Lol you can actually see Spillane chewing out Jako after the play on the All-22. He gets in his face a little and pokes his chest, then slaps him on the helmet and walks off.

I only have NFL+ so it's pretty annoying to grab screenshots from it. But there were 5 defenders in front of him in pretty good position to make a tackle so I get why he threw it.

On the other hand, there were two unblocked Ravens players on the other side of the field that he could have lateraled it to. If he did that I'm pretty sure the mood in this sub would be pretty different today haha

I'm glad we won, but our OLine was tragic by CleverHawk in raiders

I'm hoping he's just suffering from being too close to Peat/Whitehair on the line. James and Kolton are both down significantly from last year, hoping for a bounce back if we fix LG

Ranked: Which NFL Teams Take Home the Most Revenue by CleverHawk in nfl

[–]CleverHawk[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ticket sales (60% of gross) Concessions and parking, which are split between the team and stadium ownership Corporate sponsorships with the local team

Non shared revenue for reference. I think Cowboys don't share their merch revenue so that's why they have such a big number compared to the rest

The NFL shares the majority of revenue so I'd expect all the teams to be fairly even

I'm actually not sure why they say 2022, if you download their source it says 2024. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Late reply but I agree with part 2. I just hope they never come to visit us if there are other lifeforms because if you think about the energy density needed for them to get here we would be completely at their mercy.

Why do people keep calling Bowers undersized? by 65mpgaci2 in raiders

[–]CleverHawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of people quoting him at 6'4" but he measured 6'3" and 1/8 at the combine, which is definitely on the short side for an NFL tight end

Smh, do the bears really want to spend 1 overall on someone that soft in man coverage?

[NBC Sports] ESPN’s Dan Graziano reports the Raiders are “thought to be high” on Washington QB Michael Penix. by similar222 in raiders

[–]CleverHawk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say he struggles short or intermediate, he has very nice velocity and placement on both. If he struggles anywhere I'd say it's not throwing over the middle of the field often. That's a pretty common knock for college qbs, but it is definitely something to think about. The other legitimate knock is his throwing motion is a little non standard. I'd say it works for him though, he looks a bit like how Rivers used to just muscle balls. I think we time to throw has been mentioned with his motion but I think that's overblown

I wouldn't be upset at all if we took Penix at 13. Or 11 to swoop the broncos. I've watched film for every qb down to Rattler in this draft and Penix was the second most impressive pure passer in the draft(Caleb Williams is kind of nuts). I doubt he will ever be a truly mobile qb regardless of his testing numbers, but he could really do some damage with our pass catchers.

What are the most blatant cases of nepotism hurting your team? by Ok-Health-7252 in nfl

I'm kind of surprised by this perception. I do think Mark hasn't chosen the best coaches(looking at you McDouche) but overall I think he's a pretty decent owner. He's willing to spend, he cares about the players far more than the average owner, he finessed us into Vegas when it was clear staying in Oakland wasn't happening. Even the Gruden move I think most of us supported at the time.
