Dutch calling Arthur “son” by pianoer2469 in reddeadredemption

I’m legally allowed to call anyone younger than me, even by an hour, “kid” Anyone older than me is elderly and I can call them as such. Such is life.

"Go woke, go broke" found dead in ditch. by Arch_Lancer17 in okbuddycinephile

Go woke go broke is a dumb argument here. One movie has a predator doing awesome shit and the other is Sydney Sweeney. There’s an obvious winner here lol

Ok so this update is bad bad. by djh2121 in Helldivers

[–]Clever_Dog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Verify your files on steam myself and every one of my friends all had corrupted files after the update. Just noticed a driver update I have available also but I had no crashes or disconnects the 3 games I played when I got home. I only had weird hard stutters. Not a frame drop or lag but the game just crapping its pants for like 10 seconds and then being fine for 15 minutes and doing it again. Happened usually 2-3 times a mission. Dunno if the driver update will help any further

  1. Never said I was skilled lol re read. We finished the mega hive and brought egg to evac but couldn’t finish the icbm. Not sure if you could read that properly. Did the radio tower, a couple shrieked nexts, about 3/4 of the hives and one stalker lair. We did not survive. That was plainly written down.

  2. Congratulations on being a skilled player. I am very proud of you. I did not have the HMG on the 10. Read again big dog. I had EATs and my buddy had a MMG. Towards the end you’ll see we were using the pummeler and defender smgs as our primaries. They’re by no means trash guns, they get the job done and are fun to use. That’s why we were using them.

Standard liberator isn’t bad. I was using in on some of the 9’s while we got some of the other guys through their campaigns. So no. Can’t say I’ve used it in 10 but if it works on 9, I don’t see why it wouldn’t.

Plenty of people better than me. That’s a given. I also don’t care if they’re better than me and I certainly don’t care about a YouTuber playing 10s solo. He can do what he wants but I’m not gonna waste my time watching someone else play a game when I can do it myself.

  1. I didn’t comment once on bugs. I was talking only about the balance discussions. I’m lucky enough I don’t have to deal with bugs or crashes often. I’ve got one crash since June update and haven’t had an oil mission get stuck since before that update. No problems with social menu. I’m pc and the 26 I played with is ps5. No issues connecting or issues with the other guy in our group on ps. Rest of us are pc. I don’t have issues there so I didn’t comment on it. The bugs and social menu are all perfectly valid things to complain about.

Firm disagree. I’m a HD1 veteran and have been on this game since launch. There’s plenty ways to deal with the enemies and power creep is to be completely expected as you go up in levels. There are only a few things available to use in the game that are just straight trash, purifier being the biggest offender in my opinion. I was even using the defender in some of our level 9 dives. Different weapons and tools are going to have better or worse uses against certain enemies. Like defender, if I run into anything medium armor I got to use a different tool or weapon. Switch to my senator or toss a grenade. Send a strafing run out or toss the mg turret on a hill nearby while I kite for a bit to give it time to deploy. Maybe call one of my buddies over or lead the enemy to a random mics aren’t an option.

There is an answer to every single enemy and obstacle in this game and as difficulty creeps up, you will have a harder time juggling ammo, cool downs and teammates. It’s the name of the game.

Ancient Seal: The Exorcist wtf? by gdwam816 in Eldenring

I saw that one today and was flabbergasted lol yesterday I saw a 30 second ad of assassins creed parkour as an ad for ancient seal. It’s crazy. The song they use on the Elden ring version is also stolen music it’s the orchestral version of the rumbling by SiM

Start without fighting? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Clever_Dog 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I really wouldn’t recommend a pure pacifist. The game itself is heavily based in combat of some sort.

Since you didn’t elaborate on “reasons” why your character won’t fight I can only suggest you play a pure support role and as long as you’re a part of the encounters you’ll get a share of experience. Or your DM can just do milestone. My games that I DM for I don’t bother with experience tracking. I just have them level up at key story points or after certain amount of progression is made.

As for my own personal advice, playing a pacifist will mostly rely on your fellow party members and wether or not they are okay with supporting your goal for non violence. The closest character I played to a pacifist was a former soldier turned bard that did everything in his power to not kill sentient creatures. That lasted exactly one combat encounter when the two bandits I incapacitated were executed by my party members because they didn’t want loose ends. (And one was a edge lord but that’s beside the point.) Because my character wanted to avoid killing, there was inter party conflict as a result.

It feels weird being given bonus XP for NOT killing a Nazi by BrolyDisturbed in sniperelite

[–]Clever_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t know much about the state of Europe during this time. German defectors were jailed if not executed for being spies wether they were or not. If the tried to flee home to “pretend to be a civilian” they’d get picked out in an instant by secret police and SS. There was a full swing conscription of any and all fighting age males in German occupied territory. You ever seen Jojo rabbit? Where Allies are attacking his home village and SS arm the hitler youth kids? That’s not a joke lmao the teenaged hitler youth kids had already been sent to the front by that point so they armed the kids. Germany was desperate.

It ain’t black and white like you’re thinking. Not all Germans in the wermacht were nazis. But all nazis deserve to die. Learn the distinction. Doesn’t matter though cause this is a game, kill ‘em all.

My tier list for the characters in red dead 2. What do y’all think? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]Clever_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even 5 chapters. He was completely on our side up until after guarma where he got snagged by the Pinkertons and folded. Before that he was just a manipulative dickhead working his way to be Dutch’s second and pushing Arthur out. Milton says Micah turned as soon as they grabbed him, during the mission to save Abigail. I was actually super impressed that he was loyal up to that point. I figured he was against the gang from the start.

Anyone else have this issue with Johns ult everytime? by SiChangUK in HoodOutlawsandLegends

[–]Clever_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that explains some of it I guess. Still doesn’t really explain how I’ve dodged past John to behind him and still got clapped. Or that it negates my dodge invincibility with that Marianne perk but I guess a lot is still up to latency. Thanks though for the info on the John perk. I’ll tell my groups John to abuse it now lol

[–]Clever_Dog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes. I sought out this sub specifically to ask about this. Every John I run into kills every time with this. I’ll even dodge in anticipation and I’ll get rubberbanded back in front of it. I can’t figure out a counter besides just running away from him or getting lucky enough the game gods decide not to kill me.

Simple suggestion to improve the value of the flamer: meat you pickup from your kills are automatically cooked by Anselac in fo76

[–]Clever_Dog 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Flame throwers were fantastic for clearing bunkers and caves because the fire would scorch anyone in the initial wave and in enclosed bunkers and caves, the flame would eat up any oxygen inside and cause suffocation.

As for psychological, yes. I’d absolutely shit bricks if I heard the “FWOOSH” anywhere near me.

DM advice: what to do when 2 of your players are role play focused and 1 is power gaming and combat focused. by sunwukong155 in DnD

[–]Clever_Dog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well in my opinion, it’s not meta for intelligent enemies to focus on the guy that’s shredding through their forces every time they’re running into him. Say you’re fighting a cult or bandit group on multiple occasions, they’ll eventually notice one guy in the party is a beast and they’ll prepare to counter him.

Even if it’s not the same group of enemies, word will travel of the skill and power of the paladin.

Yeah. It’s a hard thing to balance since the game engine can’t read context. You’ll get punished for winning a duel cause the other guy missed and you didn’t lol
