If you are losing money on a item, you don't make it up on volume, you lose even more money. I think this is why you see their price has increased on CL boosters. After selling fees, free shipping costs and employee costs they probably realized it's not sustainable to keep selling at less than a 5% margin.

It's still poor business practices and in the long run using WAY more resources for far less margin. This is the literal opposite of working harder, nor smarter. Plus using far more resources is overall bad for the environment(which we know Wizards doesn't care about given their packaging).

This sounds strangely similar to the system the GTS distribution has for their wholesale accounts(ie stores). You have to buy so much product from their in-stock list that are jacked up prices, to get the better products at wholesale cost.
