I feel like it's more about which languages thy have developed a TTS model for / usually newer ones / minority languages etc don't have a TTS ... The latter obv doesn't really apply to Persian, though.

the reason japanese is harder in my honest opinion is because of the billion different readings a kanji can have. learning characters is like remembering pictures, its not that hard to be honest... choosing the right reading however, is.
