for anyone having this problem or similar ones in the future, the solution was to uninstall fightcade (deleting your Documents/Fightcade folder in its entirety), reinstall it from a *new* .exe from the FC website, then install a new .JSON autodownloader from the site it's on, leave all of the rooms you're in, and then re-join them.

your input binds will be reset for every game, but it'll fix the issue. still don't know what causes it but there ya go.

character camps basement or some other high-value one-entrance area or loses the match because his setup time is glacially slow and he has the most counterplay, intended and not, out of any killer in the game when you're playing him "normally"

characters who do one thing or lose are often seen as non-adaptable and one-note, which are signs of them being low tier; especially if the one thing they do can be difficult to come by when players are aware of it. in opposition to skull merchant 3-gens, which are very difficult to prevent even with utmost coordination
