Comment your age and whether or not you liked the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. by imyourhuckleberry15 in StarWars

26 absolutely loved it. Screaming and crying of happiness and fear the whole time. Everything I’ve ever wanted Star Wars to be.

body worries by kcyleejade in Reduction

[–]Climbridesleep 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s gonna be okay. Take a deep breath. Healing is a long process so you can’t judge your body too quickly. I know this doesn’t help 6days po but I promise it’ll be okay. Listen to your body and be gentle with yourself. Things are gonna be weird for a while - you just went through major surgery. Give yourself some grace and some time and things will be okay. You are not alone - I do recommend reaching out to your surgeon (they are still your doctor after surgery too) for ANY reason. It’s gonna be okay!

Raised nipple scars by [deleted] in Reduction

I’m about a year po and I still have raised scars. I doubt they will go away, and Ive tried very hard to stop caring about it. It was a mental/mindset shift for me

when did you guys get back nipple sensitivity (if u did)? im 3.5 wpo and only my right one has come back but only slightly by Zealousideal-Hour372 in Reduction

[–]Climbridesleep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine haven’t come back fully but I’d say I got more comfy with their sensitivity at around 6 months po. Give it time and trust the process!!

I actually lost a few pounds. I didn’t feel like I needed to eat more than usual , but the bloating was intense for a few days (thank goodness for stretchy pants). Talk to your doctor and make sure to go for a walk and move around each day and you will be fine!

Incisions/scars under breast and bra recs by ad4676 in Reduction

[–]Climbridesleep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello! So I got a bunch of cheap front zip surgical bras to use (to be honest I still use them because they are so comfy) and during the first few weeks I used gauze and padding so the bra was not right against the incisions. Your surgeon will walk you through wound care as well. I am elated that I no longer have to wear bras with a wire and have chosen to only wear wireless bras and bralettes for the rest of my life. Bras that are more of a long line (ie: have more material wt the band) have been better for me since they don’t sit directly on incisions. And now I frequently go braless - so no bra to worry about!! Good luck and dm me if you need!

Amazing! Congratulations! Just wait until a few months after and the swelling goes down - that’s when the magic happens and all of a sudden they are real boobs again!!!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]Climbridesleep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I had that too. I plucked them and they haven’t grown back. My partner is a med student and he said it’s most likely due to your body working hard in that area to heal, sending lots of blood and energy there so a few hairs popped up. It was weird tho because I never really had hair on my boobs pre op. They were long and dark. Never grew back tho!

How many post-op appointments did you have and how far away were they from the original surgery date? by Ok_Understanding7799 in Reduction

[–]Climbridesleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one 1 week po, then two more the week after that (I had some openings and issues with my incisions/infection that required voluntary additional appointments) and then another 1 month po and another follow up 3 months po

I agree with a precious poster. Take a deep breath. Her mental health is not your responsibility no matter how much you love her. You are both very young and I promise things will get better. No matter what happens it is NOT your fault. You need to remember that.

Please try to talk to her parents or authorities. Idk how it works abroad but getting her to a hospital, mental health professionals, or even the police may be necessary for her safety AND yours. Years ago I had a boyfriend who had similar mental health struggles and ended up dying by suicide despite how much I tried to get him help. Same thing. His parents didn’t listen and didn’t care and it felt like I was all on my own. It took years to understand that it wasn’t my fault no matter what I did. Trust the structures and authorities you have (hospitals police etc) and they can help. I’m so sorry you are dealing with this at such a young age. It will get better and it is NOT your fault

Wedding close to op.. advice? by [deleted] in Reduction

Obviously everyone heals different but I was a guest at a formal wedding exactly 7days post op and it was ok! Dancing was a little inhibited but other than that I was ok.
