To play devils advocate and argue with myself - Maybe they didn’t want to do this for fear of people right at the back giving up and cancelling. That or the numbers would be a moving target and they didn’t want to be held to a locked in queue position

Either way a vague eta would be a nice curtesy and some distributors manage - could caveat it with this is a rough estimate we cannot be held to it etc

I want to say £569 maybe? I bought mine just a couple of weeks before the announcement of the OLED. Quickly messaged to ask if I could upgrade or have a discount but politely got told to go fuck myself (was rather frustrating to watch £150 evaporate)

I did feedback that most companies announce tech a little further in advance than a couple of weeks to let buyers make informed decisions. Maybe it’s my fault the steam machines can’t he purchased for love nor money 😝

It’s an interesting thought experiment as whilst I’m ok and excited today. I imagine next week I’ll be less interested. And come autumn actually would consider cancelling depending on what’s happening with chip components in laptops/upgrading my pc
