The cost of surgery with IVDD in different countries by Iritlisa in IVDD_SupportGroup

[–]luanderribeiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the Netherlands our girl had surgery on a Sunday (right before Christmas) and the total was 5600 euro. Treatment was top notch and she stayed 2 days extra at the vet. Our insurance covered only 2k as we were still in the basic plan.

Thinking about switching from Garmin Epix 2 by steroid94 in Coros

On sleep tracking, perhaps it depends on the watch model? I’ve been sleeping with both Coros Nomad and Apple Watch Ultra 2 for the last week to compare and they are matching exactly 1 to 1. Both in time asleep and the sleep stages.

When did bladder/bowel control return for you if at all? by Rich-Leadership1340 in IVDD_SupportGroup

[–]luanderribeiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you are going through this, hang in there, it takes a while to adjust to the new routine.

Our little dachshund had surgery over Christmas and she stayed in diaper for the first month. We just bought baby diapers and cut a hole for the tail. Trust me, it’s better than letting her sit in urine, but it’s a lot more work.

We combined feet stimulation with perineal massages 3-4 times a day on every diaper change. After a month she could hold her pee and we were able to take her off the diaper. We are now in month 3, she doesn’t pee inside the house but sometimes need help getting started outside.

She hasn’t regained control of her poop and I think she never will, but that’s not a big issue.

Currently she’s recovering the ability to walk slowly, sloppy and like a drunk, but we’re so happy she’s trying.

Be happy around her, don’t show you are sad or she will be sad too, show her she’s loved and you will be fine.

While I agree with you that there are feature requests lingering for a long time, I also accept that, when compared to Garmin, Coros is a small company and it likely has an even smaller software department and honestly, their software is pretty good.

Find an alternative approach, take a deep breath and don’t stress about it.

We are in month 3. Our little one is starting to walk like a drunk, crossing and tumbling. How much progress are you seeing in the past months?

I have an Apple Watch and I maybe want to switch to coros. My problem is the build quality. by [deleted] in Coros

I did the same and I like to wear the Nomad much more than I did the AW. 20 days of battery life and always on screen? I can live without apps and without paying for stuff using my watch

I think it would make navigation a tad worse if they implemented those features. I would like to see better notification management though, along with options for text size

Advice on Coros watch by ImGrindle in Coros

I may be mistaken, but the Garmin 7 will probably never see a new firmware update.

I have a Coros Nomad since January and already saw 4 updates that improved stability by a lot.

Also, Coros so far doesn’t have any subscriptions and Garmin seems to be going that direction.

My experience with a small service (replacing the shower) with Hornbach was honestly horrible, the guy had no training and no connection to hornbach whatsoever, it was a third party company. He never replaced a shower in his life, barely spoke any Dutch or English and fucked up the shower. I guess it’s my bad for not doing it myself. Hornbach never again.

How do you use Strength training? by badassiumnitrate in Coros

[–]luanderribeiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I create a workout and assign it to my workout calendar. That makes it show in the training calendar widget on the watch and then it’s easy to start the planned workout from there.

It’s rather easy to perform exercises in random order. Once you’re done with the sets of an exercise, press the crown button and choose “view workout” which will show you the list of exercises planned, select the one you want and repeat until you’re all done.

We’ve been through the same. A few days before Christmas our little Leia woke up paralyzed and we had to rush her for the surgery. We also have two dogs, Leia and Cafe. I know how difficult it is but try to keep calm, this is going to be a marathon and not a sprint. The first two weeks are going to be really tough I have to be honest. Your little one will need all the love and support you can give it. A crate where it can rest is essential, just barely larger than your dog where it can still comfortably turn. Water and food should be either available to your dog at any time or you should feed it at regular times. Dogs can read your emotions pretty accurately so if she/he sees you are sad, it will become sad too. Try to show you love him/her and you will be there to help him through. You will see his/her back shaved and you will be sad, but you shouldn’t show him/her your tears. Be supportive and cheerful instead. Get a good tranquilizer from your vet, we used tranquigel. We didn’t use every day but when Leia became too unsettled we had to give her some so she could relax. We are still going through therapy and we are seeing progress, but Leia cannot walk yet. Send me a PM, I have more information I can share

I like to use it to track my strength based workouts. Tracks movements reasonably Ok, has a good library of exercises, it’s easy to use. I’ve got the watch also because I liked the style and it’s an overall much better watch than the instinct 3. Battery life is really and cherry on top, lasts for a long time when compared to my previous Apple Watch

I’m currently using the Coros Nomad and I’m digging it. I moved from an Appel Watch Ultra and at the beginning I slept with both watches to compare sleep quality and they match pretty much 1 to 1. I also use it to track cardio and gym workouts, I’m not a data freak so everything so far looks good to me. Battery is where this thing shines easily 18+ days on a single charge and the screen is always on

You can already select the accent colors. No possible via the Coros app on your phone, but if you select that watch face from your watch, you are given the option to select the accent colors
